Modi in coast on May 8 again – One venue, either Mangaluru or Bantwal

Mangaluru, Apr 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit coast again on May 8 after his visit to Udupi on May 1 as part of several election-campaigning in the state.

BJP party sources say that venue of Modi’s speech is yet to be decided. Some party leaders want Modi to address people in Bantwal where Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited recently and from where Dakshina Kannada political heavyweight and district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai is the contestant from Congress.

 

But there is a chance of Modi addressing a bigger crowd at Nehru Maidan in city. In any case, he cannot hold public meeting in Bantwal and Mangaluru both. Within few days clarity will emerge on the issue.

Modi will arrive in Mangaluru after a public meeting in Vijayapura on May 8.

    Well said.
    Rahul does not fit to be a future PM from any point of view other than simply trying to continue fly name. He seems to be power hungry and lacks the political maturity or any political charisma. That is why congress is not making any political head-way other than some experienced state leaders are maintaining badly needed balance.
    Dynastic aspirations are demolishing the party name and strength. It's high time the fly head (Soniya madam will wake up to final call). Good for congress otherwise final destiny.

    You have seen me commenting for many years and you know I'm not pro-Modi...but he manages to win somehow. You have to agree that Rahul Gandhi is no match for Modi.
    Rahul is a gentleman, nice, kind but in politics this wont help. There are so many matters to tackle Modi but Rahul since 4 years asking only about the 15 lacs which is outdated....
    Fuel rate is sky rocketed ...Remember how BJP protested during Congress regime when the cost was high. Did anyone from Congress raising this issue in elections???? So many matters to ask Modi or the state BJP.
    Siddu is trying his best but from top brass he's not getting much help. Someone like Jyotiraditya Scindia is the better option than Rahul

    No matter how Modi is...He's still a tall leader in BJP. To tackle him we need shrewd politicians..Not a gentleman

    Your comments indicate a misplaced understanding of a good leader. We support the Congress party and the Congress party's ideology. We supported them even when Narasimha Rao was the PM. In the words of Prakash Rai, BJP is cancer and Congress is cold and cough. Getting rid of cancer is the priority, cold and cough can easily be dealt with later.
    Parliamentary democracy is not about individuals and personality. Answer me, why has Modi's speeches and personality not provided jobs for the youth but only resulted in sky rocketing unemployment in India ? Why has his personality and speeches not prevented Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya, Mehul Choksi from looting PNB and escaping from India ? Why has his personality and speeches not prevented Farmers from committing increasing suicides in India ? Why has his personality and speeches not prevented lynchings from happening ? Why have they not stopped corruption in Rafale, Piyush Goyal, Chikki Scam, Vyapam from happening ? Why has it not prevented PSU banks from starting to collapse ? Demo and GST have messed up the economy. CJI is under a cloud of suspicion and controversy. India's democracy is not about one individual running the show. Personality counts for something ONLY IF THERE IS PERFORMANCE DELIVERED. Our PM talks and promises but where are the achievements ? Indians living overseas may like Modi because he gives the illusion of being a high profile leader which makes NRIs and PIOs feel proud among their overseas colleagues and friends but believe me that is a false and misplaced feeling and resident Indians know and understand it better. Rahul Gandhi has improved in leaps and bounds as a politician. Please hear his speech today at the Jan Akrosh rally. He knows to be shrewd - take it from me. I have spent years overseas including Abu Dhabi which I am familiar with - Hamdam Street, Khalifa street, Salaam street, Corniche, Marina mall etc. to name some. I know what I am talking about.

    Totally agreed. Modi didn't do enough for the country. What he did was renaming the schemes/ programmes carried out by the UPA. The initiation of mega projects by Dr. MMS was ribbon cut by Modi and thus taking all the credits.

    Would had appreciated if any one Congress leader mention the no. of scams you mentioned above. They should pounce and gung ho over BJP but they're relatively quiet.

    Still i would say 2019 will be won by Modi...Congress under Rahul is encouraging and exciting but can't dislodge Modi from his seat. He has a long way to catch up Modi.

One party is really rich today and in this country money talks and can really buy a lot. Voters are bribed, EVMs can and are being tampered whether there are those who do not believe it, large BJP friendly media only speak favourably about the BJP and scathingly against the Opposition/Congress thereby prejudicing voters, 18 lakh muslim voters name were reported to have been reported missing from the voters list this time in Karnataka. I would rate a leader by his actual achievements and in how much time how much does he/she achieve. Personality, oratory skills etc. at the end of the day do not matter if people do not have jobs, if people cannot afford food and basic essentials and if the country does not progress/develop steadily. We are not here to say whether Rahul is our personal choice or not but the Congress party certainly is. This is not a boxing match between Rahul and Modi. The parliament makes the laws, not one individual. The cabinet of ministers govern and not one individual. Personality and oratory have only cosmetic value at the end of the day if performance and achievements do not accompany them.
    Who will be PM in 2019 whether Rahul or someone else we don't know but Modi and BJP will have to go and we believe they will be dislodged but by who only time will tell.

    When 8 year old Asifa from Kathua was kidnapped, tortured, raped and murdered in the most brutal manner by fanatics why was the PM on mute mode for so long ? Where was his presence felt then ? Only after there was a national outcry and BJP were receiving huge negative publicity did he speak about it. This is just one example. Whenever there is something negative by his govt or party he goes mute and opens up only when there is massive pressure from the public and media.

    Waste of time & energy importantly resources.
    If he is so famous and if BJP is so popular among the masses, why they need extra efforts to black mail the public. People got used to his regular endless speeches during these four years and in so many Assembly election held in different States.
    Is there any benefits by way of costs on basic items? Living cost is rather gone higher and only promises of Ache din remains unchanged.
