Kasargod: Case registered against Sadhvi Saraswati for hate speech

Kasargod, May 1: Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sadhvi Saraswati, known for her controversial statements, has been booked by the Kerala police for delivering hate speech in which she allegedly asked people to 'behead love Jihadis' and killers of mother cow'.

The 21-year-old had delivered a hate speech at the inaugural of a VHP programme held at Badiadka in Kasargod on April 27.

The Hindutva leader said that lacs of rupees were being spent on purchasing mobile phones. A sum of Rs 1000 should be spared to 'buy swords for girls to kill love Jihadis', she had said.

A few local organisations as well as people in general filed a complaint with the superintendent of police (SP). The SP then directed the Badiadka police to register a case.

The Badiadka police have registered cases under IPC sections 153 (A) hate speech – and 295 (A) – outraging the religious feelings against Saraswati.

Saraswati is the President of Sanathan Dharma Prachar Seva Samiti and known to promote 'Hindu Rashtra'.

    Now I am confused, the Hindu Dharma with vasudaiva kutumbam manthra has changed or its different religion these hindutvavadi's are preaching. I have been brought up in the atmosphere where all our neighbors were hindus, we were waiting for deepawali like how we wait for our eid to celebrate, we use to play in the backyard of temple without any hesitation. Now I am in Dubai from last 27 years and my kids born and brought up here will have the same love affection from my hindu neighbours when we return soon to our mother land. If their swami's and sadhvi's are preaching hate and brainwash the hindus in the name of hindutvawill we get the same love and affection, I doubt as I was looking at FB page of my neighbour's grandson who has looked after us like her own child is filled with hatred towards the particular community even though no one has harmed them in any way. I have taught my kids to love and respect all the religions and respect their way of life and the atmosphere in Dubai has made them understand the secular value put forward by the great rulers of UAE. I pray to almighty lets peace prevail with the true value of the religion rather these hatred spread by religious leaders of the community.

    I heard the speech on facebook. When she chanted , 'Jai Shriram', I didn't find any devotion in it, just a shout to instigate. It was like a call for war in movies like Bahubali.
    Such hate mongers are disgrace to Hindu community. I didn't find any difference between her and those people who lit candles and called for hartal just for a rape victim being a Muslim.

    As long as they have blessings from BJP, these sadhwis bark anything. Not surprised at all. Only option to stop this is to throw BJP out and put all hate mongers behind bars. We need strong legal system which punishes the corrupt and criminals inspite of their political affiliations. All political parties are included here.

    No, BJp will never allow them into its party. These people always remain as team B of BJp and are used to instigate communal violence as and when it is required; so that no one can blame BJp for tha acts of team B of BJp. BJp will keep on giving speeches on religious harmony after about 100 incidents of lynchings of Muslimas and Dalits.
