Mangalore: Billawa Balaga Dubai to Participate in Scholarship Program

Mangalore, Sep 10: Billawa Balaga Dubai and Billawa Balaga Mahila Vibhaga shall be participating in scholarship distribution to deserving Billawa students in Mangalore Town Hall in the presence of Hon Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on 28th Sept 2008. In joint participation along with Akhila Bharata Billavara Union the annual Damodar R Suvarna memorial student scholarships will be distributed to more than 400 deserving students.
The occasion will also mark the 154th Jayanthi celebration of Shree Narayan Guru with Chief Minister to grace the function.
The officially recognized representatives of Billawa community in Dubai, Billawa Balaga Dubai and its Mahila wing was invited to jointly participate in the event.

Representatives from Billawa Balaga Dubai and Mahila Vibhaga shall be visiting Mangalore in jointly hosting the event.
Home Minister Dr V S Acharya, Minister for Fisheries, ports, small savings and lotteries Krishna Palemar, BJP State president D V Sadananad Gowda, Minister for Food and civil supplies and consumer affairs Haratalu Halappa, EX MP Vinaya Kumar Sorake and a host of other dignitaries will be present for the occasion.
Member of Parliament and former Union minister R L Jalappa will preside a release from the Union.

All the major Billawa committees and their representatives from various towns of Mangalore, Udupi Kundapur etc will be present. Billawa leaders from Mumbai shall also be present for the function.
On this occasion Billawa Balaga Dubai & Billawa Mahila Vibagha shall present memento to the CM along with Akila Bharata Billawa Union. The 10th Anniversary souvenir of Billawa Balaga Dubai will be distributed to all the guest.
President of Billawa Balaga Dubai – Ashok Anchan, President of Mahila Vibagha – Geeta Suvarna, Gen Secretary of Billawa Balaga Dubai - Ashwin Salian, Ex Convenor Raghuram Suvarna, Event Management secretary of Mahila Vibhaga – Malathi Pratap and committee member Rejith Suvarna along with Gulf Co-ordinator for Akila Bharat Billawa Union Suchit Kumar will have a meeting with CM and discuss for the better prosperity of Billawas living in UAE.
