Udupi: Grand Ganesh Chaturthi of Brahmavar Draws to Colourful End

Udupi, Sep 9: After a week-long worship, the idol of Lord Ganesh installed at by the local committee of the public Ganeshotsav at Brahmavar, was taken for immersion in a procession on Sunday September 7.

The procession started from the Government Primary School, Bramavar, and made its way past the old bus stand, police station, AIR complex, Gandhi maidan and culminated at the lake in the Sri Mahalingeshwar temple. A colourful display of crackers was held at the Gandhi maidan enroute the procession.

Thousands of devotees joined the procession and witnessed the immersion of the deity's idol in the temple lake.

      Mr. D Pinto, please be assured that all over the Udupi district all the Huli vesha using orange color as their under garment since more than 2 decades (I did not cross 30 to give the complete history). It is not representing VHP or any other party. Please do not make this as a issue by posting such things. I do not want to drag the topic by telling more on your taught.
