Contrary to popular belief, job opportunities for Software Engineers are declining rapidly. The companies who B.E. candidates in the college campuses for instance, are taking too long to appoint them. Such freshers are not sure if they will get offer letters at all in the end.

The colleges should take action against such recruiters and specify during capus interviews the time within which the students should be appointed. In cities like Mangalore for example B.E.(CS&E)freshers are paid only Rs. 5000/- besides making them sign bonds that they will not move from the job for 2 to three years. They are also made to deposit lakhs of rupees as assurance money. The major software companies should open their offices in small cities also.
