Bengaluru police arrest man for circulating fake message about Saalumarada Thimmakka

Bengaluru, May 29: Bengaluru city crime branch (CCB) police have arrested a person in connection to a fake message related to Saalumarada Thimmakka that was circulated in social media.

The accused, Pradeep Gowda, is a resident of Haradanahalli in KR Nagar, Mysuru.

Award-winning environmental activist Saalumarada Thimmakka and her foster son B N Umesh had on May 26 filed a complaint with Bengaluru city police commissioner regarding a fake message that was being circulated about her.


The fake message claimed that Thimmakka had 'died' and a picture of her 'lifeless body' in a hospital was being circulated in WhatsApp last week.

Based on the complaint, the police arrested Pradeep Gowda.

Pradeep has a Facebook page in his own name. It is alleged that he circulated the fake message from this account by posting it in another page called 'Sneha Loka'. The picture of Thimmakka's 'lifeless body' was accompanying the message was edited using photoshop, it is said.

Further investigations are on.

    Those who did it very well know...., this guy's account may be used by the invisible perpetrator....!!!
    One deep look at the face doesn't give me an indication that he did it....!!!! It would have been created in his name by luring or inducing...., by the perpetrators..., any way let us not pre-empt the investigation...!!!

Indian police is there to investigate this case where we don't wont your investigation report. and onemore thing..
