Bengaluru: CM Kumaraswamy calls for austerity, asks govt officers to cut down expenses

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Jun 3: Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday June 3 began an 'austerity' drive, asking all government officers to cut down on unnecessary expenses.

While on one hand chief minister Kumaraswamy has announced a two-phase crop loan waiver scheme to help small and marginal farmers, on the other hand he wants to ensure his decision does not affect the state’s fiscal condition.

It could be one of the main reasons that a statement has been issued from the chief minister’s office on Sunday June 3 to all officers from government departments, asking them to cut down unnecessary expenses.

In the statement, the CM has asked all the officers to review proposals regarding buying new cars and also discourages unnecessary refurbishing and renovating of government offices and official residences. Various government departments and offices have been asked to review their proposals seeking allowance of new vehicles.

The CM's decision comes just 11 days after he took charge of the office on May 23. Earlier on June 1, Kumaraswamy in an order barred officials from using mobile phones during meetings with him.

CM, Please look at pay cut for your MLAs including Ministers. They all are super rich and no need to pay hefty salary and perks from poor tax payers money.
Ask them to take public transport, renounce Star hotels, resorts, free lunch, snacks .
If you can achieve this, aam Janata will vote you with absolute majority.

There is actually no money for loan waiver. Kumaraswamy has been put in a fix by Yeddyurappa. Apparently Siddhu was mindlessly claiming Karnataka funds north India during election campaigning.

I would want you to become the next PM since your comments certainly presents a higher IQ than the clown. But tragically that is not going to happen since Pappu has already declared himself to be running for the PM office since he carries the bloodline of Indian de-facto monarchy family.

If not Pappu, whom do you think the united opposition is going to present as the PM candidate? The key players in that team are Congress, SP, BSP, RJD, JDS, TMC, TDP, and DMK. Each of the parties other than Congress is restricted to UP, UP, Bihar, Karnataka, WB, AP and TN respectively. Does any of Akhilesh, Mayawati, Laloo (CONVICTED), Kumarswamy, Mamta, CBN and Stalin have the calibre to represent a pan-India people’s aspirations? I doubt it.

Congress definitely has much better pool of able candidates than any of these regional parties who are pretty much restricted to the states they emerge from. I would personally propose that Captain Arminder Singh be the PM candidate. He is an ex-army man, a successful farmer and a businessman, has vast experience in political executive role, well respected across party lines and most importantly his foot is firmly ground to the floor.

Meaning ?? You decline ??? Because you agree that you don't have the IQ even to the level of the Chaiwala ?

Tell you what ? During one of RG's foreign trips and a live press conference, an intelligent author (who boasted of several books to his credit), questioned RG about his family's role in India's development today. RG, after giving the description, said that those people who doubt about the family's contribution towards India's liberation, democracy and development, need to write another book. The author did not have another question because all he said before was fed to him. Those who fed the information, did not have any idea that RG will come out with such an answer.

Mark this - the reply was spontaneous - not read from paper as the 'teleprompter' PM does. You give me record of one spontaneous press-meet from the Chaiwala PM !

Therefore, don't question others' IQ, do that with yours first.

As per Indian Law, not just a bar dancer, even when a man marries a pro.....te, she inherits the wealth of the family especially when she lives as a widow and takes on the family's legacy raising his children. Prove me wrong !

Whereas the one who boasts to be a 'chaiwala' to gain sympathy of the citizens, has no wife, no family nor legacy. All he has is 'baiyooonnn behnoo... in the whole country and God knows through which connection.

Ms. Sonia Gandhi's father was a businessman and sent his daughter to study in a good educational Institution. It is quite ordinary that in the western world, students will do part-time work to pay the bills, working in a restaurant as a waiter or waitress is more comfortable and easier. I have worked many jobs part -time to pay the bills, it was not dancing as you are berating her.

    D. Shetty,

The disrespect was started by the PM himself, during his campaign in 2014. Have you heard one abusive word towards any member of the opposition from MMS who was PM for 10 years ?' Modi called his predecessor (democratically elected) government, 'Maa-beta sarkaar' 'saas-daamad sarkaar' and what not just to tell people that they were run by a family rule which he will change and send all three to prison in 100 days from the day he came to power.

Did he do what he said ? Did he prove that it was run by mother-son, MIL-SIL pair ? Whereas, in states his party came to power has so many irregularities in voting system itself. It came promising Hindus a Ram-rajya, a promise to build Ram-Mandir. Deceiver !

Indian Govt is nothing else but a government came to power out of deceit and cheating ! As such, it deserves no respect - I'll repeat this a thousand of times more.

Mere travel of pleasure, didn't accomplish anything. Modi thought that as his blind followers in India, 31% of the electorate voted for him dreaming heaven on India, the foreigners will lavishly invest in India their hard earned money by the trillions and will leave India without getting a dollar back, that was not fulfilled. How the investors can get their investment back after investing in the infrastructure-Railway etc? Nothing.

Do you think PM trips are justified?
Why is he changing coats every 6 hours in new destination?
The amount that PM spent on self glorification can feed millions of hungry Indians.
The amount of fuel is burnt for his foreign trips is two times sufficient to control the petrol price of the country.
