Mangaluru: Cricketer K L Rahul felicitated, says he is grateful to Mangalureans

Mangaluru, June 5: Internationally renowned cricket player of India, a native of Mangaluru, K L Rahul was felicitated by SBI Mangaluru Center in city on Monday, June 4.

Acknowledging the honour, Rahul said, "My cricket career started in Mangaluru itself. I was the captain of the under-15 Karnataka cricket team when I was still in this city. I am grateful to Mangalureans. I will utilize the opportunities I have got in Team India with dedication."

Prof K N Lokesh, father of Rahul, was present on the occasion.

Sukumar K V, DGM of SBI felicitated Rahul and congratulated him by saying that his achievement is par excellence.

Yathish Baikampady, CEO of Panambur beach tourism development project greeted Rahul and reminded the gathering that SBI had recognized Rahul's talents when he was in the school itself and felicitated him.

Kishore Kumar, regional manager of the bank rendered the vote of thanks.

K L Rahul was presented with artwork of his portrait done on the spot by renowned painter Shabari Ganiga. Rahul praised the artist for her effort.

    Kholi nd rohith are good close friends. Rohith is not inform, still coz of kholis blessings he gets chance. K L Rahul is fit rohith s place. Bcci is playing game vth Rahul. Even South Indian players discriminated in team selection since ages.
    Only north players upper hand.

    Yes...he must have removed cap and dressed best. Leave it, he is still a small boy yet... Mangalore need youth entrepreneurs like Facebook mark Zuckerberg and Google Larry page to make a actual difference

    Must be going bald...................hahahaha. Maybe someone should politely point it out to him as he must be unaware. I don't think it was deliberate or done as an insult. No doubt he is the most talented cricketer in India today and if he controls his impulse a little bit, he could be the greatest.
