Belagavi, Jun 9: A barber from across the state's border near here has started a unique service to his customers, of shaving with his golden razor! Attracted by the news about this service, people from far off villages too are coming to him to get firsthand experience of this novel service.

A barber at Mala in Sangli, district headquarters in Maharashtra on state's border, named Ramachandra Kashid, has been offering this service. His air-conditioned saloon also offers tea and coffee to the customers besides modern hair styles. He charges Rs 200 for shaving with golden razor.

Ramachandra has a golden razor weighing eleven tolas worth about Rs 3.5 lac. He shaved his father first with the new razor on the 33rd marriage anniversary of his parents. He got the idea about getting the golden razor, after observing picture of scissors and razor which had appeared in a WhatsApp group sometime back.
