Mangalore: Mahendra Kumar Arrested - Remanded to Judicial Custody

Mangalore: Court Rejects Bail to Bajrangdal Leader Mahendra Kumar

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (MM)

Mangalore, Sep 20: The Sessions court has rejected the bail application of Bajrangdal state convener Mahendrakumar on Saturday September 20.

Mahendrakumar was arrested in the city in the midnight on Saturday by the Bunder police in connection with the attacks on Christian worship places in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikmagalur districts.

As reported earlier in these columns, Mahendra Kumar along with VHP district head M B Puranik had confessed that Bajrangdal was behind attacks on Christian worship places. However, district administration had failed to nab either of them. But on Friday September 19, after continuous pressure from union government, district police had got into action to arrest Mahendra Kumar

The hearing on his bail was held on Saturday evening. The bail was rejected following state government’s objection against granting bail to him.

Bail plea will come for hearing once again on Monday September 22, sources informed.

Mangalore, Sep 20: State convener of Bajrang Dal Mahendra Kumar was arrested from near Navbharat Circle in the city at around 12 pm late night on Friday September 19 by the Bunder policemen.

Mahendra Kumar had through a statement issued on the day of the attack on churches, confessed that Bajrang Dal was behind the attacks, and also that they were aimed at centres involved with religious conversions. However, the home minister had been evading demands for his arrest, saying that there was no tangible proof of his involvement.

However, after the union government exerted pressure on the state government to put its act together, the administration jumped into the action and initiated search operations to nab him since Friday morning, in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikmagalur districts.

Kumar was travelling by a car, when his vehicle was intercepted and he was taken into custody.  Other passengers in the car were let off and their details are not yet known. He was presented in the residence of a judge here at around 2 am on Saturday September 20, and as per information, he has been remanded to 15 days of judicial custody. Further details are awaited.

In the meantime, the district administration has extened prohibitory orders in Mangalore, Bantwal and Beltangady taluks till Monday September 22.

Dear Radhika.... It was said by the Bajarang dal conveyor that the attacks were made on new life and not on worship place... This is a political drama which took place in mangalore, but it was showed that as if Bajarang dal has done all this... Did the people who attacked the church said you that they belonged to bajarang dal... There is a Enquiry going on, let the law take its own course and please dont blame anyone till the Enquiry is fully done.

Mr Nissar... I have already said that I am against the attacks on anyone irrespective of the religion... But this is not the time to see who has attacked whom, but its time for each and everyone of us to sit and think why it happened and we have to take steps to prevent this in near future and make way to development, peace , harmony and Love for the over all progress of our city....

Thanks to the daiji world for the absolutely true and fantastic coverage. After Janavahini, you take the centre stage to keep informing to the Mangaloreans, the happenings around the world.

Do not worry dear fellow breathren, the arrest of Mahendra Kumar is only an eyewash to please the hearts of the christians and of the central Govt. We will have to wait and see what is going to follow in the days to come, once he is released from the jail. I will not be surprises that he is gone to take good rest in the jail, after heady duty on desecrating the churches and the places of worship of Christians. He must be having good time to converse with the Home minister to plan for the future course of action. Nothing is going to change in his attitude towards the Christians. All these Hindu Fundamentalists have forgotten the favours they have recieved rfrom the catholice institutions life, schools, hostels, hospitals and destitute homes. The true God who has called us to be good Christians will continue to make us strong in our faith to lead on our christian living. Once again a big thanks to the the daiji world.

The whole world knows that the arrest of Mahendra Kumar is a BIG DRAMA. Ever since Mr. LK Advani spearheaded the destruction of Babri Mosque, the Hindu fanatics have become very strong. Everyone must understand that Bajarangdal and other Sang Parivar outfits have the money power, muscle power and media power. They have fooled a considerable number of Hindus to become anti-minorities. That is how BJP got 34% of vote in the last assembly election in Karnataka. Most of the main TV channels, mainstream News Papers etc are directly and indirectly supporting the Sang Parivar. Therefore, the hidden agenda is very much visible. Even though majority of Hindus are secular, the Hindu fanatic groups are using Hindu religion as a trump card to get full power in the next Lok Sabha elections. The attack on Churches and prayer halls is a just a beginning. The minorities of Karnataka have lost faith in the State Govt and its Police force. Sang Parivar is trying to create more problems for the minorities. Let there be more unity among all the secular minded Hindus, Muslims and Christians. Let us defeat the dangerous designs of the fanatic groups. May God bless us all!

Dear Mr. Bhat, They will surely arrest those Christians who indulge in conversion, only when they could come up with some kind of proof, which is next to impossible as you and me very well know that, it is a story narrated by Bajrang Janatha Party originated from Bangalore. First on Sunday they narrated a story of conversion when they found it difficult to prove, (tried plan B) some objectionable printed material produced urgently. However till now they could not tell anyone from where they got it, who gave them from where it originated. Come-on Bhat Christians understand Indian constitution and respect it and don’t indulge in such malicious things.

Dear Friends, Mahendra Kumar is arrested only based on media reports and his statement on some press reports. The state government’s objection against granting bail will not long last of future hearings. We need to file cases against the attacks with judiciary and the cases should mention the names of the Baja rang leaders so the court will not grant bail to him I am sure that, the VHP, RSS and BajarangDal will further will be on the streets to pressure the government to release this Man... Dear brothers, they are cowards, they can attack only buildings, and they can’t attack our faith and fellowship of love that we share. They can attack the churches in the night while we sleep and we will build them at day time. Our unity among Christians is great and only Christians that have an opportunity to share faith and love because we follow teachings of Jesus and we are proud that we are Christians. We have set good example amongst all the communities by establishing educational institutions and health care to the masses. I request please be there after every mass and share your feelings and support among church members and create strong platform to fight against these nuisance. Do not rush back home after mass as we all do. Be a member of the catholic Sabha or Youth Movements. We need lot of members for all the association that is present in almost every church so that we can plan and gather together for raising voice against heinous actions by the people and by the police. I believe Ivan Souza is doing a great job there and hope there are many Christian lawyers who can do better job by filing cases on the church attacks and also by guiding the church leaders in the process of filing complaints.

The poise of Mr.Mahendra's photographs shows that as if his group has done a great job after spreading the violence between the religions, destroying churches, holy place and beating innocent ladies and children. They showed their true colour in the public and not imbibe values from their elders and lost control to respect ladies. These people get money from politicians to do the heinous crime and hence gain the vote bank in the name of religion. They also enjoy their leadership since they don’t have talents to explore their abilities and lazy to work. It is so sad that you people have polluted our beautiful Mangalore where all the religions used to celebrate all the festivals together once upon a time. I’m dealing with people from different religions and various countries, however people loved me as a Manglorean/Indian.I love all the religions and enjoy working with all the people without any confrontation.

It is political parties who gave priority in certain catagories viz. jobs, riots, communal hatered, etc. just for their election manifesto. There is really no point in blaming the Sangh Parivar. There is a lot of poisoning that is happening - and it seems to be well orchrastrated - agsint Christians in our news papers. Leading Kannada and English newspapers in Coastal cities have carried out artcicles in the recent past which is poisoning the young Hindu minds and causing hatred towards other religions. I was shocked to read an artcile today in Vijaya Karnataka written by Pratap Sinha justifying attacks on Christians and derogating the humanitarian work conducted by Christians. This Propaganda/ Seeds of hatred are effectively being sown in every India household. We must act to prevent this through whatever legal means we have.

Is there any case where they are converted? Do not misunderstand us with the sects like New life, Yehowah's witness with whom we have absolutely no relation. They do not keep CROSS NOR keep STATUES etc. I would also that incase somebody does forceful conversion take the legal action. I only request all the viewers to tell each other that we Hinus, Muslims, Christians and Jains in Karnataka lived in harmony fir decades. Any one who advocates, single path to which he is acquainted, quite natural to preach so.But in reality,he is ignorant, not able to grasp the essence of almighty in other forms there by deceiving his own soul.Think my friend.I assure you I get the same solace in heart and mind, remembering Jesus or Ram, as I just treat them as various formS of God. How many people stranded, how many people lost their daily wages, how many sick people died because of no timely help, how many pregnant women must have lost their child at birth or they themselves died because of no immediate help.

How many foreigners stranded & what repect they have for India. Is his hindu brothers not suffered, specially those who are on daily wages. Will their children call him hindu or terrorist. What is happening to INDIA? Is it a secular state or a terrorists state?? We catholics do not revenge. We are peaceloving & co-operative communiy.

All things, good and bad, come to an end. What has happened in Mangalore will also come to an end. But whether it will come to a happy or sad end, one has wait and see. The SP of Mangalore needs to be put behind bars along with Mr. Mahendra Kumar so that they can plan their future strategy against the peace loving Christian community of Mangalore together in a very secure way!! The Bajrangis have succeeded in creating terrorists among the Islamic community by distroying Babri Masjid. Now they are out on creating terrorists among Christians of our country so that they finish our BHARAT DESH much faster due to their selfish attitude on religion.

Wonderful news! How more wonderful it would have been if the District admininstration and the Police Dept had to act on time and arrested him earlier, instead of shielding him and many other anti-social elements, who operate with their tacit support and the support from the higher ups in the State Govt ruled by BJP which supports antisocial elements in the name Hinduism.

Now all the facts have come to the open, state govt. cannot hide any more from their evil intentions whatever excuse they give., for every thing has come to the open. There is one God who looks at everythigng and everbody and no one can hide from him. His name be blessed for ever. He is the God everybody whatever name any body calls him, any religion may give any names to Him. God loves human kind and why this hatred for Christains by a few fanatics? Descration of Holy places, Churces by these anti-Christian, anti-socil elemnts and brutlality of the police inside the Churches on the worshippers who gathered there to pray and support the Church in persecution:Our Nuns & Priests were beaten and lathi charged and even old women were not spared, women were beaten, young girls were chased away and beaten, leave alone the suffering by our men and youngsters.

Now since there is pressure from the Central Govt. and pressure of all good Hindu Brothers & Sisters who are real follwers of their faith, this action has come at last. Let the Judiciary be independent and guard and protect citzens rights, we are Christians are not an alien race, we were born and brought up with our Hindu Brothers and Sisters and Muslims for so many years in the Ex DK District and now it so terrible to see what has happened under this adminsiation of Mangalore and the State Govt. Let the Judiciary be independent Let there bee no pressure on the Judiciary so that all citizens rights are protected. Let all communities leave peacefully, where Christians Muslims or Hindus all born in the same land and every one has equal right to practise one's own faith. What is a Convrsion? Can any body accept any bodys faith without full conviction.

This is an excuse for attacking Christians. In that case why can't those who call this as an excuse, go to Christains and convert them. Missionaries like Mother Theresa, work for the poor in India and see the love of God shown to them and follow his or her faith why is the jealousy and hatred. Let those who spread violence go and serve the poor and who suffering form floods in India and all other calamities? We are only a 2.27 per cent of the population. Never use force, if any body hurts Hunds sentiments the individual concerned go the police and lodge a complaint and let law take it course.

I am very much disturbed by the undesired violence happening in Mangalore. I condemn the drastic acts of Bajrangi's done on churches. they should be punished... I believe God is one, Religion is one, Only faiths are many... a person will pray in temple, masjid or church but all his prayers will go to same god.. I will sleep and pray to god that is my faith...a person will dance and pray, that is his faith...god never asked any person to do any so called conversion or fight for so called survival of man made religions.... All the outfits of Bajrangdal,SIMI,YMCA should be banned for ever.. We are already having a life to live with... LIVE IT PEACEFULLY AS BROTHERS ,ALMIGHTY GOD IS WATCHING US !

Dear readers, please don't give your comments saying arrest of Mahendra was just a drama. Comment strongly saying that he must be punished since he has committed a criminal act. Daiji world, we appreciate your efforts bringing the outcome & brutality to the entire world. Please go deep into the harassment of this bajrangis & bajrangis police force who were in uniform to our christian brothers & sisters. Who the hell these police & bajrangis entered into our place of worship. These are the culprits & to be punished.

Daiji world, try to highlight the press the inhuman action of bajrangis & so called police force. Speak out on behalf of catholics & not only just a media. Even i don't agree with the priests saying lets forget whatever happend & lets live like brothers. let all senior priests know that only forgiving is notenough. let them demand apologies from these inhuman bajrangis. We wanted to live peacefully from the beginning but no catholic should be provoked in this way. Even inthe bible, it is written, Jesus was angry when the pharasis made his fathers house as a market place. Jesus himself was angry when the people did what he didnot like then why should we christians keep quiet & accept this illeterates act of entering our churches & damaging holy eucharist & statue of our saviour lord jesus christ

Are we expecting Mahendra Kumar to be dragged by the cops?. Don't you think that would be a mockery again and will not agitate the BD's? and then deal with more violence. Since we got lucky and there were no loss of life, we should thank our stars. There is no point cursing death or reading any bits of religion literature , this is of no use. When the Portuguese forcibly converted people, the people cursed that their activities die with them, did that happen?.

We now see that the converts now are a bigger believers than the original missionaries who supported this forcible conversion. Now don't you tell that those missionaries were sent to India to do god's work? - violence in the name of God? Where has your rational thinking gone?. What happened on Sunday last was a wake up call to the Hindu's and a watch out for the Christians.

I condone any violence in the name of religion. I also condone anyone taking law or religion in their hands. But this small trigger is adequate for the rest of the Hindu's to wake up. Now we will watch the activities in the church with suspicion. This is unfortunate, but that is the way it is going to be. We have been told that we are all children of one god. If this is true then what is so special about Jesus? I think it is the sermons and preachings that have instilled fanatic ideologies like the only path of salvation is through Christ. If you clearly look at Jesus's birth and his actions he is much more than what the bible describes. Let me put it this way, his philosophy is something that we cannot comprehend. That is why we constantly read and try an attempt at interpreting the holy book.

There is also a question on why attach the Roman Catholics when it was the New Life that did it. Don't you think that the Roman Catholic church and the New life have similar agenda. The New Life is converting people to believe in Christ. It is the same as why a Hindu would be fine with someone taking up Jainism or Buddhism, it is an offshoot of Hinduism !!!. I am ashamed that all the Christians who take up religious studies do not see this. Religious studies should be enlightening and not make one a stupid fanatic.

They are contributing a substiantial source of revenue to the state exchequer. If they stop spending to the extent I am sure they can upset the budget of the state. In that case Mr. Yeddy shall run away from this state.

Under the pretext of conversion some cowards under the darkness of ignorance have unleashed a reign of terror and the root cause for inflecting injuries to innocent defenceless women and children. Mr. Mahendra tell me who wants conversions? If at all we want to increase our numbers we would not have followed the small family norms. Its very simple. No religion has the right to misinterpret the sacred literature of another religion. As Some of my hindu bretheren quote that new life members have written ill about hindu gods. They should have confronted the source with the proof rather than attacking the places of worship, things of worship, the sacred literature and the innocent people therein.

If a hindu temple, the idols, the sacred literature and the people therein were attacked I wonder what would have been the reaction from my Hindu bretheren? Please go back to the history and u shall find until 1992, hindus, muslims and christins were living in peace and harmony. The hate towards the minority was started by the rath yatra of Advani, supported by Togadia and subsequent demolition of Babri Masjid. As a retaliation the Mumbai was bomb blasted.

This demolition of Babri masjid and rath yatra gave birth to radical organisations like SIMI, Indian Mujahideen, Bajrang Dal, Hindu Yuava sene and Rama Sene. These radical organisations aim is to spread hate and terrorist people in the name of religion.

Again I request all the wise people including the politicians, u cant stop terrorist by putting them behind bars, hanging them. Unless and until you practice social equality, stop oppresion of minority, stop vandalising their places of worship, do not do justice to the minorities, these bombs would continue to explode. Thousand of Bin Ladins have taken birth, Thousands of Taukir, Nagori have taken birth and are operating in India.

To counter their terror and Hindu organisations like BD, Rama sene are born. BOth these Muslim and Hindu outfits are terror groups. The only solution to stop these terrorist from striking lies in administering social equality, justice and a sense of security to the minorities. Why prior to 1992, terrorist didnt strike. I am lost to know the government is enacting laws to fight terrorism. But the government is treating the symptoms and not the cause. You treat the cause, so symptoms automatically die down. There shall be peace.

If you give the list of people who are involved in forcible conversion with proof to the authorities, they will defintely take action. To all supporters of Mahendra Kumar, Don’t support vandalism, stone age attitudes of attacking other section of society. If you have any issues you are free to fight in the frame work of constitution, judiciary. If you think political bigwigs are supporting minorities then they are showing true color of Hinduism. I agree in some cases they appeased minority too much.

For example in Shabanu case the congress superseded Supreme Court judgment to appease fundamentalists and denied justice to a mulim woman. Another example is govt takes a big chunk of devotees money from temples same time minority worship places are spared. In many cases we have different law for different community i.e.: marriage act, property succession, endowment policy. This makes hardcore groups to feel our laws are not secular. I don’t think in other secular countries they have religion based laws.

Even minority people also can’t blame Hindu’s every left right center. Remember India became secular country just because of Hindu leaders. We are proud about it. Our brothers didn’t get privilege of secularism in Pakistan because it headed by Muslim leaders. Even Bangladesh also declared itself as a Islamic country in 1989. Same time a Hindu country Nepal shifted to Secularism. I appreciate even Christians also secular in world wide. So they deserve a well-mannered gestures from hindus.

But did you all ever realise when someone writes bad about the god you worship? do you know how bad it feels? In this blog no one had read the book circulated by new life, if you have read it , then you wouldnt have blamed bajarang dal for whatever happened..

The person who has written that book should be hanged to death. I got a chance to read that book, and book criticizes hindu god.. I think when a spiritual person reads this book he would definately get angry and this is what happened in Mangalore and later it was congress and JDS people took the charge to make the things worst... I really feel sorry for whatever happened in mangalore.... I hate when people say bad Abt our CM and Home minister..

Did anyone Question congress or JDS goverment in the past coz most of the riots in mangalore happened when these two party ruled, we didnt bother to Question these congressmen and this is what the result of that.... Congress still hidden policy and that is "Devide And rule"..... Let us all not fall prey to these people, let us respect all the religion, Let us make Mangalore a nice , beautiful place to live .. Dear Mohan, Salvation can come through RAM and Allah also. God is one whether it is Jesus/Ram/Allah, what you follow is not important. What you 'do' (KARMA) is more important. If you just pick up a sentence from Bilble - you will not understand. Please refer to the context, understand to whom, why and where it was said. A sentence can be interpreted in different ways - only few can extract the actual meaning.

MAHENDRA KUMAR IS NOTHING BUT A SPECK OF DUST BEFORE LAW. IF THE RULE OF LAW WAS IN PLACE THEN THINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN NORMAL AS ANY OTHER DAY.

TAKE FOR GRANTED THIS IS MOMENTARY. WHAT SHOULD BE DISTURBING EVERY KARNATAKAN ARE THE UTTERANCES & REACTIONS OF THE STATE HOME MINISTER & THE EERIE SILENCE OF THE CHIEF MINISTER. CLOSELY WATCH EVERY MOVE OF THEIRS & HOW DIABOLICAL ARE THEY IN THEIR INTENTIONS.

No hope for the civilized society, if the law makers tie the 'nuptial knot' with the Fundamantalist, no matter to which sect or organisation they belong. By the way i commend the bold & courageous Nun the Head Mistress of the Kulshekar School and the band of other women for bringing the incident to World Attention. Dear Mr. Naik, Every religion tells that it is the only way to go to Heaven. Take example of any religion. Every religion insists that they should tell about their religion to others. Hindu Religion does not mention about other religion. It is saying Hindu religion is the only right religion. Right? Nothing wrong in it. I am working in Saudi, many Muslim friends of mine, explains about their religion to me and they have rights to do so. It is up to me what to believe which religion to choose. Nobody can do forced conversion, since conversion is not important, but your life after conversion is very important.

Being Christians , we are no exception. We believe Jesus is son of God and we all are children of god. We believe Jesus is only way to heaven. I will not write more on this, otherwise you will say I am trying to convert you forcibly. But the fact is you know nothing about Christianity and you people pretend that you know everything. Christianity teaches to love everybody and not to revenge. That is why no temple or Hindu prayer place has been attacked and the church attackers have been forgiven by Christian people.

I am sure this will hurt the sentiments of all Hindus and they will vote for BJP in coming elections, no matter how worse their administration is, we can protest by this way only, entire laws of the country is favoring minority community only.

Here in these pictures Mahendra Kumar is acting as if they are taking him for the palace for the royal treatment.. and police and lawyers are acting as if they are escorting him. Shame on Indian politics for being biased. Police were nt guarding the peace instead were creating problems around Mangalore and helping to increase the problem creators by their brutal act. Now one more drama. It is shame to say that wrong people are ruling the country like khaki and khadies( Police and Politicians). I wish British were ruling our country still where there would have been atleast more peace... The people who are on the seat are spoiling the meaning of democracy... and the law and order itself is creating disturbance all over India. In such a volatile situation i would request him to keep his mouth shut and keep his preachings to himself. It is people like him who are giving our faith a bad name. Lets now wait and see how this drama unfolds. The CM has also ordered for a judicial probe. Our protests have not gone waste. Again i don't think the government is taking these steps because they have suddenly fallen in love with us christians, but due to pressure from the central government. Due to the media attention that was generated and condemnation from all over it was impossible for the state government to cover up. Secondly the BJP leaders know very well the value of christian votes. A large number of christians have voted for the BJP in the last elections after being fed up with the infighting in the congress and the corruption in the Janata Dal. If you look at the margin of victories by the BJP you will see that they were very slim in many constituencies. If in the next elections the christians unite and decide to vote against the BJP then surely BJP is bound to lose all the seats in DK and Udipi. Therefore the BJP wants to quickly soothe the christian sentiments and lose those critical votes. The christian votes even though few will determine the fate of BJP in coastal Karnataka, which is why the government has made a U turn by ordering for a judicial probe.

I agree Jesus is the son of God like other sons of God, equally worshiped and respected by respective followers at different parts of world. But I do not agree if you say,'he is the only son of God'. The Chain reaction, shows how sensitive anything related to the relegion is. People's faith is based on this, and it shakes very badly when something like this happen. We Indians are intelligent enough to understand this. For a few of them it is a profession, you name it attack on the worship place, or sentiments of people worship practise and convertion. We can stop both this , when all of us admitt and take responsibilty for what has happened. If Head and Head talks ( As we can see from these comments) it only generates more friction, and conflicts and anger. if Hearts can talk it can only bring the Love among us and create Harmony. let us come close , as love can't survive in farness ( neither hatred can't digest nearness), and bring Harmony.

Issue of conversion which they call forceful does not make sense if one really study and understand what is christianity. How many of the anti christian leaders, commentors and the criminals know the reality from those who have converted themselves?

Real conversion takes "within " not external. If any one study the christianity deeply there is no need to convert they themselves will know which path to take .It is the fundamental right of every human being to accept any religion they like, after all each individual will be answerable to Almighty God.Christians followers of Christ have their Christ teaching of Love & and forgiveness.

Christ was condemned to death by his enemies but even at the time of his death on the cross at his last breath he forgave his enemies "Father forgive them they do not know what they are doing". Look at what happened when Australian Missionery was burnt to death with his children. His surviving wife had forgiven the killers. Without knowing and having proper proof who killed their leader fanatics in orissa started criminal acts on christians and latter it is being spread. If there is love and God with one's heart such criminal acts will never takes place.Any one in any religion harms or kills other person acts on evil spirit.Because God is love he is our creator. Only He has all powers on His creation all over the universe.

We all human beings come from mud and will go back to mud one day. Only our soul is answerable to God. Christians aware Christ's teaching'and what He has said "What ever you do to the least of my brother/sister you have done to me". Hence you can see such activities, services to the poor and down trodden with chritians .Please do not misunderstand conversion. Serving human being is serving God.Take example of Mather Theresa and many of the orpanages, hospitals, schools etc. Irrespective of religion or castes they were taken care. Can any one do such act without God's spirit in their hearts? If any one see God in other people then you will never harm any one. There will be only love and peace. Find out who is highest donators in the world for poor countries.

Which religion dominates in those countries.  How many rich people are there in India (Hindustan) and how much they support people of poor countries irrespective of region. There were so many people in America joined Hare Rama Hare Krishna.

Many christians in the Gulf countries, Philippines converted in to Muslim religion.Did christians attacked those innocents or Was worship places of God ever attacked?. Any one who takes such criminal action not only invite wrath of God on himself but also on his family.Because God is all mighty and powerful but slow to anger. There is no greater thing then Love and compassion which can win the hearts. Looking at his pictures, he is coolly walking as if nothing has happened. The arrest did not come as a surprise to him because, he must have been informed earlier that he would be arrested just for eye wash and to silence the victims. His lawyers in suit and 'chamchas' are following him, so he would out from jail any moment. This is all a 'naatak baaji'.

We always respected your community and your God and never had a problem in you people following Christianity. As a matter of fact, none of the Christians living in India were migrated. Everyone was converted and we never had a problem, as it was the individual’s interest of getting converted. But, now it’s the limit, distributing leaflets and literature condemning Hindu religion.

We only request you to stop converting people when they are already following Hinduism. You people can try your luck in some countries where there is no religion so that you can promote your religion rather than targeting Hindus. You people demand for the arrest the Bajrang Dhal leaders and now you blame it by saying it’s a gimmick and a drama. This could be politics, am not bothered. But am sure about one thing. If all the people from your community hold a meeting and decide not to convert anyone there wont be any fight. Do you people agree with this ???

Is this our mistake? If anyone hurts your feelings will you keep quite?? Why are you supporting Bhajarang Dal Leader? If he is not a criminal then keep him in a place of god and worship him?? This will be good for your future. All the very best.

If anyone has been converted just ask them why they have got converted and for what reason they have converted. Did anyone forcibly convert any one? We are not for converting the people into our religion. Why are you Apologizing? Rather Apologizing go and try to stop the things which are happening all over India. At last as a formality, they arrested Mahendra Kumar,as a formality, they agreed for Judical inquiry and now (after this many days) some of our own people / leaders remembered/awake to give comments! Whatever is happened is happened, no one can change it now, our brothers and sisters, our nuns and religious leaders suffered for the sake of our Lord, 'Jesus Christ' and we all know what is going to happen next. Please don't wait for the judgement of this world, but wait for the judgement from above. We have proof in the whole Bible & in this modern time all arround the world, whereever and whenever they persecuted Christens they paid for it heavily!

Let us pray and help whatever way possible to our suffering brothers and sisters in Mangalore & in Orissa and wait for Almighty's judgement. As it is said in Lk 6 verse 20 onwards, Blessed are you who are now weeping, for you will laugh. Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude and insult you, and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man. Rejoice and leap for joy on that day! Behold, your reward will be great in heaven. For their ancestors treated the prophets in the same way. But woe to you who laugh now, for you will grieve and weep".

He is just preaching the gospel, it is up to the common man to accept. If you accept its good for you, as the Bible clearly says that there is no salvation unless through christ.

All Humans have the choice to choose the belief they want? New Life does not force any one to get converted. I would like to share the gospel to you. Today if you will accept the Christ as your personnel saviour, you'll have eternal life. There is no other Name/source in this world other than Jesus to have eternal life. It seems all christian faith people are hell-bent on blaming bajarang dal for the attacks. I think we need to understand the root cause for this first. As anybody can remember from past/present, hindu organizations protested in recent days only because there was constant attack on them. And in most of the cases, the hindu retaliation was not terms of assaults on persons but only on structures/physical places. All the christian people should show one example where they did convert a guy from other religion and went scott-free. Leave alone conversion, you can not even write anything about other religions in the land of India except Hinduism.

Many comments on this forum said that Hindus treat lower castes badly and thus they convert them to Christianity. But I guess the Indian law prevents all such conversions. Which means missionaries are acting against the law of the land. The police does not punish them still you make hue and cry saying police do not act against bajrangadal. First understand that the spark started from conversions and hence conversions and attacks equally.

I agree Mahendra will come out with in few days. In our state now everything is counted on RELIGION. I think now the time has come think about our religion. Even I was a big supporter of BJP, thought that they will bring revolution. Yes they brought the revolution But what kind of? I think this was my wrong thought. Now we have to collectively teach this communal party in Parlimentary election. We mangaloreans .... specially Mangys want to live in peace. Bhavani please do not make Mahendra Hero. & same time apology to christians..... you have all the features of Politician

You are absolutely right Yajna. Why only Mahendra Kumar, why not Samuel who is the root cause for this violence. Had he not started this convertion business, the violence of this kind would not have occurred at all.

Dear Daijiworld, Please forgive Him. Because God Jesus Christ forgave all Sins of the World to Die on Cross. Our Christian Brothers Showed their Christanity by going through the torture. Now they know the Real Love and Love your NEIGHBOUR thy yourself. BUT, worst scenario we may have to revert to like Holy war in europe.

Can we trust this act of police? Will they hold him in remand for 14 days? Wait and watch for another drama directed by Bajrang Janatha Party (BJP). How about the police personnel who attacked peacefully protesting women and nuns? They must be suspended from duty with immediate effect. How they can call themselves police? These people have no right to remain in police force. Dr. V.S. Acharya, when will you take action against these culprits? Are they real police or Bajrangies in disguise of police? Please clarify this to all the true citizens of India.

This is a big drama to fool people, see in a third picture how he is laughing. It is a set game. No probs if he will not get punishment from the court, soon he will get funished from Jesus. May God bless him for not to do same in future.

The state government was not at all in a hearing position even if he (BJDL) is claiming why not arrested before. BISI ELLADE BENNE KARAGADU. I am not a person to comment everything what police do is wrong because they are under the orders of the superiors. The deputy commissioner is the most inefficient ever we had in the district along with some police superiors. The biggest criminal is the state BJP government issuing orders to police. A STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM

Pressure from the UPA centre really worked. However,Mahendra Kumar's posture and stiffnes displayed in the media, suggests that, it is a just a gimmick. He has been treated with such a respect and dignity, it shows the impartial attitude of the police. Even, the statements made by Mahendra Kumar, after his arrest, reveals the revenge and hatred in his heart. He is not talking peace, but distruction and disturbence. It is equally important that, Police Administration also treat the common man on parameters. I am sure, this guy will go skot free on a bailable warrant. Arresting a person like Mahendra Kumar, does not solve the issue. We want peace to prevail in Mangalore and no further incidents of such nature. It is also an appeal to all communities living in Mangalore - which path they want....Peace or revenge/hatred ????

Hi Bhavani, A leader of any organisation cannot take law into his hands and justify the acts of vandalism. Secondly the police force cannot resort to firing and lathi charge on peaceful protesters who were inside the church premises where police force were not able to give church protection. How many Hindu people would have gathered in the temple premises if any of their temples faced a similar situation. For you Mahendra Kumar may be a hero but for us he is a big Zero. It is because of the pressure exerted by Moily Poojary Gowda George Fernandes Oscar Alwa Girija Vyas, Kumaraswamy, Our NRI friends, and many soft cornered Hindus the BJP govt in Karnataka is finally agreeing to conduct a judicial inquiry into the episode. When truth comes out see how ashamed you will feel.

Dear Catholic friends – Mahendra kumar is a leader of Bajrang dal. He is not a criminal. Why you all welcome with flowers when lot of prisioners are released from Madikeri. They also did a mistake by breaking law and order, attacking police officials. For your kind information when Sukanand shetty was murdered and during his procession, police shot two people who were in the procession.

But fortunately no one was shot inspite attacking police so badly. I think an Educated Indian will not blame the State Government. Mangalore has become an voting bank. Ivan is an Hero, Moily and Poojari speaks are Bulshit… Moily has been rejected by the public atlreast by three times so also Poojari, all jobless creatures are engaged after this issue. Attacking on converting center we all justify. There are many and many families who are converted. It is the fact because lot of Roman catholics are converted by new life, this has been told by many catholics. But we hindus did not like cutting the Jesus statue because he is the god for all the religion, so on behalf of all our hindu communities I apologize.

Severly interrogate him. Conduct a narco analysis test. Bring out how many hindu terriorist outfits are there in Dakshina Kannada. Dont release him till truth comes out. Also try to find out whether the articles publised about Hindu Gods was done by Bajrang Dal itself to stir communal riots. Dont just arrest him for the sake of arrest. Dear police force dont be communal. Dont get afraid of him also. They are gondas and they must be sent to andaman jail.
