Bahrain, Sep 20: “Konkani Kutam” Bahrain & Karnataka Social Club members jointly celebrated the “Nativity Fest” on 18th September 2008 at Karnataka Social Club premises with great devotion & enthusiasm.
Fr. Thomas Quadros, the Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Church blessed the “New Corn” & signified the prominence of “Monti Fest” which symbolizes Harmony, Unity & Peace. Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Vincent D’souza distributed the blessed corn. Richard Moras President of Karnataka Social Club & Convener of Konkani Kutam welcomed the dignitaries & the gathering.
The Children displayed their admiration of Mother Mary by offering flowers with mellifluous hymns relevant to the feast.
The entertainment programme consisted of songs & comedy skits.
Sumptuous traditional meal was served on banana leaves by “Chefs Corner”.
Bertie Rego compered the programme.
