Mangalore, Sep 21: 'Romance of the Monsoon', an exhibition of paintings, was inaugurated at Orchid Art Gallery, Kadri, on Saturday September 20.

Speaking after inaugurating the exhibition, Max Rasquinha, philanthropist from Houston, Texas, said that the beauty of art is a blessing of God and it can be a link between people and the country.

'Mind, heart, and hand, are the three elements an artist should have to bring his art to reality. Paintings have their own language. We must try to admire our history in paintings. The most important being human is to help others,' he opined. He also praised William Pais, proprieter, Orchid Art Gallery, for organizing such exhibitions in the city.

Swapna Noronha welcomed and William Pais proposed the vote of thanks. The exhibition is on till September 30.
