Mangalore, Sep 21: Following a threat call that a bomb has been planted on Jaipur - Trivendrum Express, the officials concerned had a tough time on Saturday.

Besides a 35-member Railway Protection Force (RPF) team that searched the entire train, the local police, railway police, bomb detection squad and sniffer dogs were pressed into service in the respective railway stations.














The train that was supposed to arrive at Mangalore at 7.15 pm, delayed by over 3 hours as the police in the respective railway stations are thoroughly checking the train.
 
 
Speaking to media, Railway Police Inspector Vittaldas Pai said that “the call may be hoax, but we can’t take a chance.” The call was received by the Palghat railway officials in the evening.
