Sad to know about the sudden demise of the legendary great actor Shri Anand Bolar. The tulu nataka ranga cannot replace a talented artist like Anand Bolar who during his show in Dubai for 'Nama Thuluver' briefly said that he will discontinue performing due to ill health and that this will be my last show. On behalf of all the artists here, I pray to the Almighty to grant his sould the eternal peace and shower strength to his freinds and family at this time of grief.

We are indeed shocked and pained to read the news of Anand Bolar's sudden demise. It is a great loss to the theatre in general and Tulu stage in particular. Just a few months ago we met him and saw his marvelous performance in different shows in Dubai. We pray to the Almighty to grant his soul the eternal Nirvana. We also wish to console the members of his family which also included his fellow artistes in Lakumi group – the strength to come to terms with this grief.
