M’lore: Mahendra Kumar Still in Sub-jail - Chikmagalur Court Issues Arrest Warrant

Mangalore, Sep 22: Though the city court granted bail to Bajrangdal convener Mahendra Kumar, he was held up in sub-jail here as the Chikmagalur court issued arrest warrant on him on Monday September 22.

Mahendra Kumar was arrested in the city on Saturday September 20 as he confessed of Bajrangdal's involvement in the series of attack on churches across the state. He also revealed that the Bajrangdal has further aimed at several centers involved in religious conversions.

Earlier, the city court rejected the bail plea of Mahendra Kumar on Saturday September 20 by postponing the hearing on Monday. The court here granted bail to him on Monday as hundreds of Bajrangdal activists and supporters waited in front of sub-jail at Bejai to welcome.

Meanwhile the Chikmagalur district court issued arrest warrant on him in connection with the recent attack on church at Balehonnur, under its jurisdiction.  He will be produced in the Chikmagalur district court on Saturday September 27. His further plea for release will be decided on the same day, sources said.

    Mr. Deepak,Communal clashes are a NOT a result of the tension created BY congress, janata dal politicians, but from those sick minded fanatics who have hatred and dislikement for Christian community because of the only reason how these 2.2% minority community today managing 45,000 educational institutes and giving the wisdom and knowledge to those who are walking in darkness.This is nothing but envy.

    Since BJP govt supports the fanatics like Bajrangdal,to do whatever they want in the name of conversion. BJP's game plan is to get maximum vote on the plank of Hindutva, which they say brings glory to them. This mentality of suppressing the minority community in the name of religion will not succeed becasue every Citizen in Free India have the right to preach and propagate yes! propagate his own religion and no one can stop them according to the law of a democratic country.

    Deepak you are definitely right! by the statements from various politicians of Cong and Janata Dal, the people can get who are the real accused. As per my knowledge Bajarangdal is having so much respect on Catholics and I never heard of such issues till now. But the lost politicians don't have any other work to do! so they thought of this planning and all. They don't know they can't act before the wise Coastal Karnataka people. Its now crystal clear that the lost sides are playing and initiating such types of communal clashes.

    Well said Mr.Deepak...going by your theory if it is the Cong/JDS having hatched this conspriacy against Christians....whats stopping your BJP government from exposing them (ofcourse with evidence,and not just ball talks) and taking them to task and why is the BJP justifyig the acts of BD and VHP(they have owned for the attacks)and supporting them,any answers......

    Communal clshes are a result of the tension created by lost congress, janata dal politicians . Their visits will only increase this tension. In case of any communal riot, all this opposition politicians should be picked up and isolated from people, police and administration. Gowda and Kharge are dirty mind politicians and live for the sake of money, land and power. Such people should not be allowed to go near the scene as their intention is gain political mileage.
