Local competition, arrogant and harsh driving is the main cause for this kind of unexpected vehicle accidents on the road which need to be controlled by the police.

RTA is busy in issuing driving licences...... In UAE proper testing of the driver before issuing driving licence. If the driver is below 25 years of age RTA in UAE will issue the licence only for one year and Insurance companies will give insurance to such driver with high premium. If they are found good than they will renew the licence. In India so many deaths specially youngsters below 25 years. If they Go to RTA than they will issue him licence and if he commits any mistake they can come out with paying some money..... why can't they issue licence only checking and testing each driver?????

I gave 7 tests in UAE to get my license in 1998 despite driving in India for 7 odd years. . Now I am proud to say I am a thoroughbred driver with professional driving skills with calm and relaxed defensive driving techniques.

To improve driving discipline implement UAE or US rules , suspension or cancellation of Driving license will reduce accidents by large. There is simply no other solution for reckless driving and not following of traffic rules.

Accidents bound to happen due to slow moving traffic in kallapu, Thokkotu and pumpwell..these private buses follow strict time schedule and in the event of traffic jams drivers loose patience..though these drivers are to be blamed I feel the snail paced work on highway also accounts to accidents...

    Absolutely.

Private bus business must be put to an end and all buses must be purchased by KSRTC and the drivers must be employed by KSRTC. If the owners don't agree let them sell their buses to scrap and if the drivers don't agree to work as KSRTC terms, let them go jobless. KSRTC buses run on time and the drivers aren't in a competition to stuff passengers like pickle.

Private bus businessmen have made enough money already by putting public's life at risk.
