Bengaluru, Jun 22: Several leaders from Congress party have received threats in the name of underworld fugitive, Ravi Poojary. Continuing with this trend, now, Congress MLC, C M Ibrahim, reportedly has got WhatsApp message, posing threat to him. It is said that he has been warned against passing derogatory remarks about the country.

Ibrahim has complained to the city police commissioner. He has sought action against the miscreant who has sent this message to him. Through the said message, the sender is said to have asked the MLA to exercise control over his tongue and that he would face consequences if he speaks lightly about the country. The sender has identified himself as Ravi Poojary.

Reacting to media persons on Thursday June 21 about this incident, Ibrahim feigned ignorance about the identity of Ravi Poojary. "I just received threat in his name via WhatsApp, So far I have never spoken to Poojary. I have conveyed this information to police and asked them to investigate," he explained.

In the past, Ramanath Rai, D K Suresh, H M Revanna, Jignesh Mevani etc had received threatening messages in the name of Ravi Poojary.
