Chikkamagaluru BJP leader Anwar stabbed to death by miscreants

Chikkamagaluru, Jun 22: A BJP leader was brutally stabbed to death here on the night of Friday June 22.

Chikkamagaluru town BJP chief secretary Anwar was attacked by miscreants near Gowri Kaluve here.

A resident of Uppalli, the 46-year-old Anwar was stabbed three times, sources said.

The assailants escaped from the spot soon after the attack.

Police sources said that prima facie, Anwar was stabbed to death over an old rivalry.

The body has been shifted to Chikkamagaluru district hospital.

Basavanhalli police arrived at the spot and registered a case.

    As they found out the one who murdered Gauri Lankesh, we need SIT to find out who was behind this crime. Killing even the arch enemy saying old revelry is unacceptable. Murder is murder and we don't need any religion condoning these criminal activities.

    RIP. This young man sacrifice his life for the party. The incident has given mileage to the party leaders especially to the local MP of this constituency ahead of 2019 polls. She will be there on street at any moment of this time.

    Rest in Peace Anwar. What we observe is that People / citizens are being killed and not much response from any parties or groups. But if a cow is killed we hear more noise. Where is the value for a Human being..??

    Let us stop politicizing each n every incident. Let us learn to respect a human being. No doubt these could be an old rivalry or so. But a young life has gone. While it could be by people of same party, we will now get to hear a lot about different party politics.!!

    don't play your dirty game on dead body. what is that saffron color terror. can you apply same logic for all terror attack. there is no color or religion for any terrorist & terrorism. but some people categorise the terrorism for their own benefit. what happened in west Bengal? what happened in Kashmir. can you put some color on those incidents. please be realistic & support to eradicate crimes in the society.

    First condemn any death whether it is BJP worker or Congress worker or any other person, killing is not justification for hate, don't drag politics in such matters, only politicians do that.

    Just a horrible tribalistic act. We do not know whether this is a politically motivated, personal or something else. This is a terrible criminal act and must be investigated and criminals must be brought to justice. Otherwise, India will be slippery road bog vigilante justice and barbarism.
