Dubai: SMKC's Annual Event 'Desert Strings' on Oct 16

Dubai, Sep 24: St. Mary’s Konkan Community (SMKC) Dubai is all geared up to present their annual fund raising musical show “DESERT STRINGS”, that will take place on Thursday, 16th October 2008 at the Al Rashidiya Ballroom, Al Bustan Rotana Hotel Dubai from 8.30 p.m. onwards.
As is the case, SMKC strives to bring something innovative every year in order to raise charity funds through entertainment, for the needy brethren in U.A.E as well as in India.
“DESERT STRINGS” is a ‘dine n dance’ gala musical evening packed with nostalgic songs and dance with the live band taking you down the memory musical lane. The famous band “FLYPSIDE” from Mumbai will be in attendance and will rock you till the early hours of next morning, entertaining one and all. It will be a good opportunity for people to mingle and exchange pleasantries, topped with sumptuous dinner at a 5 star ambience.
Compere for the evening show will be well known ‘Wendyil D’Souza’ in Dubai, who will keep you busy till the wee hours of next morning.
Boniface Carlo, the Main Coordinator of SMKC and his team members are striving hard to make this show a successful event leaving no stone unturned to provide quality and top class entertainment to those who come to watch the show. Every year a good amount of money is raised to help our needy brothers and sisters in the U.A.E as well as in other parts of the world. The priority of SMKC is to uplift the poorest of the poor in every field, however much emphasis is given on the education field.
SMKC is running smoothly under the blessings of Fr. Freddie D’souza who is the spiritual director of SMKC and always guiding the members. The dedicated team will rise to any occasion and will be ever ready to render their helping hand.
