Bengaluru: Yeddyurappa-Shah secret meeting sparks off speculations

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 26: After BJP national president, Amit Shah, invited BJP sate president, B S Yedddyurappa, to meet him urgently, Yeddyurappa rushed to Gujarat all of a sudden without giving any hint of his intention. This sudden unscheduled visit has given rise to lot of speculations.

The visit has happened at a time differences between the coalition partners in Karnataka over presentation of budget are widening.

Yeddyurappa, who left his home in personal car along with former minister, Basavaraj Bommai, on Monday morning, had not been seen by anyone thereafter. In the afternoon, he suddenly was seen in the residence of Amit Shah at Ahmedabad.

It is said that the discussions between the two leaders centered around the current political scenario in Karnataka and the differences that have cropped over budget presentation between Congress and JD(S). It is said that leaders discussed the strategy to be adopted by BJP in future.

As per information, JD(S) is hell bent on presenting an exhaustive budget while Congress says supplementary budget would be sufficient, although Congress leaders have been maintaining that no such differences have arisen. Therefore, the leaders discussed the way BJP has to move in these conditions, sources said.

Some sources say that Yeddyurappa left for Ahmedabad all of a sudden after Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and BJP national president, Amit Shah, called him to meet Shah immediately. During the recent visit of chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, to New Delhi to take part in Niti Auyog meeting, he had met Modi to discuss Caurvery issue. It is said that current political situation was also discussed by the leaders then. Therefore, the above meeting has gained added significance. The national leadership of BJP wants its state unit to encash the differences between the above two parties to its advantage, sources claim.

The scene for the coalition does not look good. This Karnataka Government is product of an unholy alliance formed just to keep BJP out of power rather than any similarity of thoughts between two alliance partners. If some members of either party - JD(S) or Congress revolt and join hands with BJP to bring down the alliance, BJP need to do things cautiously. At list it should not oblige the “turncoats” with ministerial hearths - or it may face a bigger revolt within its own cadres.

Is this the end of the 'JDS & Vinci Congress' Ghatbandhan??? The news on every TV channel is , ''disgruntled Congis have approached BJP''? This matter needs serious introspection. It is unfortunate that people still didn''t understand that the sole aim of these parties is to come to power and loot the state.
