Byndoor, Jun 27: Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty on Tuesday June 27 led 'Ammanedege Namma Nadige' padayatra to Kollur temple, in honour of the deity with the intention that Narendra Modi may become the Prime Minister once again and BJP government may come to power in Karnataka under the leadership of B S Yeddyurappa.
Hundreds of BJP activists partook in the procession braving heavy rain and followed the MLA from his residence in Nempu to Kollur. The procession started at 4.45 am, covered a distance of 25 kilometers and reached Kollur temple tower at 9.45 am. The devotees took a dip in Souparnika river and offered special puja and prayers to Mookambika deity at the temple.
MLA Sukumar Shetty speaking to reporters said that Narendra Modi-led government at the centre has given corruption-free governance during the last four years and his able leadership has been noted worldwide.
"One more year is left. BJP should win with majority seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections and Modi should become the Prime Minister again. Similarly, former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa-led government should be established again in Karnataka. A vow made with these intentions is offered to Mookambika deity," he said.
