Mangaluru: Air India Express flight to Doha cancelled for technical reasons

Mangaluru, Jun 29: The Air India Express flight from the city to Doha on Thursday June 28 had to be cancelled for technical problems associated with the aircraft.

The flight was scheduled to take off at 5.35 pm, but was cancelled as technical snag was detected in the functioning of aircraft. The flight had 140 passengers. All of them were provided accommodation by Air India in hotels.

It is gathered that the flight will leave for Doha on Friday morning.

    Air India Express is run by older version and older planes of Air India, of which many have already completed more than 20 years of service.
    These planes do need proper maintenance and absolute air worthiness,
    Thank God and Thank Air India for doing maintenance if there is technical
    Do not complain for snags and technical problems if you are wanting to take Air India Express flights.
    I know all private airlines charge more 30% over Air India Express ticket price.
    Flying on airplane is not a joke , if the airplane is not airworthy to fly.
    Just check African airlines why are they prone to many disasters.
    You cannot have the cake and eat that too.

    why dont allows international Flight in mangalore.what is Issue for them .why dont allow like .oman air.or air arbia atlest one flight we need mangalore international flight..

    Mangalore Root Theres No Control By anyone. I Do Not Know too much about Air India But I Had very Bad Experience in JET . Flights Like Jet Airways Take Heavy Price For Business Class and Then You Find no place to keep Luggage as they Fill seats with Other Paasengers who has not paid for it . They Can Do whatever They Like with other seats but person who Paid The Price Does not even Have Place To Keep Luggage as cabins are filled with others who are Filled in business class seats because flight is jam fulled .Rude/arrogant Behavior by staff in Addition Is The Treatment you Get for Paying such a hefty Ticket Price. The staff Instead Of Helping Diturbed Customer Try To Behave Harshly and aggrevate The Situation. Some Disgrunted rowdy Passengers Join These Staff to Fuel The Situation just because he Got Free Business Class Ticket .
    Better Cancel Business Class and make all seats Economy and treat all same instead of creating this unfairness.
    Some Flight badly Treat The Labour class which I was eyewitness . These incidents Happened quite Sometime back now In Jet But Jet Management where I wrote Wouldn't Care and simply hushed up the Matter and ignored the compliant.
    Spice Staff/Air India Staff Was Much Better and shown due respect to All Passengers.

    AIR INDIA is always having some problem or the other. There are several reasons for this and the passengers have to bear the brunt of these cancellations. I think private airlines should be taken over to run these AIR INDIA flights.

    No need of overwhelming or overbragging about kannur airport. Kannur is no match for Mangalore. Just by building a airport, it won't develop much. Kannur airport is 120 kms from kasargod and 180 kms from Mangalore. Only Calicut people may get benefitted from this. There are couple of mishaps happened in kannur airport before

    We cant trust this airline.Also they are charging more and more comparing to other airline.We just waiting other airline to operate direct to mangalore.Then only air india staff will travel in Air india express

    I think air India express leaves to Doha evening not morning,May be they don't have load that is the reason they cancel the flight.they will combine the load Thu and Fri and it will leave today at 1735 today.
