Bangalore: New Congress Chief Deshpande Favours Tie-up With JD(S)

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Sep 27: The newly appointed president of Karntaka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) R V Deshpande said here on Friday September 26, that he has an open mind as regards entering into an understanding with the JDS during the ensuing elections was concerned. He however, said he would consult the high command before proceeding on this issue.

"For defeating the BJP, secular forces will have to unite. Hence, I feel joining hands with the JD(S) might become necessary. Creation of the post of the working president will not in way interfere with my functioning. Working president D K Shivkumar is a good friend of mine. We will build the party with mutual co-operation," Deshpande said.

"The rumours that Siddaraiamah is disgruntled over my appointment, are far from true. We will hold discussions with him on important topics and ensure that he plays a significant role in party building. He has informed the media that he had suggested my name for the post of the KPCC president. Hence, these rumours are baseless," he reasoned.

"There are no differences of opinion among the stae leaders. If there are any petty differences, we will solve them through dialogues. My first aim will be to ensure that our party wins most of the seats in the assembly bypolls and teach a fitting lesson to the BJP," he added.

Deshpande opined, that 'Operation Kamala' undertaken by the BJP was an insult to the constitution and has been a blot on the history of the state. He also pooh-poohed the tall claims of the BJP about its 100-day rule.

In the meanwhile, Mallikarjun Kharge said that the creation of the post of the working president does not mean that Deshpande is a weak candidate. "The post has been created in the interests of the party. Personally, I never expressed any opinion on the creation of this post with the high command," he asserted.

KPCC working president D K Shivkumar informed, that the party would not retaliate to the BJP's operation in which the Congress lost some of its legislators, through it's own 'Operation Hand' as claimed earlier by some leaders. "We will bring back the leaders who deserted us. The 'Operation Kamala' will boomerang on the BJP," he predicted.

Joining hands with JD(S) is ok for Congress but not with Deve Gowda and Revanna.Kumaraswamy has very good experience of administration unlike his brother and father. Both father and son Revanna will destroy the State's future,if they are in power. As long as Deve Gowda and son Revanna are in power,Karnataka will never get improved.

Anything for seat sharing. If congress cant handle BJP alone then lets make another marriage with Devegowda Party. We Just want seat at any cost and we know we cant defeat BJP alone. All our work behind the riots to get down BJP went wasted. Presdient rule also does not seem to come. Only coice we have now is another alliance. We are BHAI-BHAI now. Lets forget all what happend. Devegowda is DeveGOD and so is Congress. Rest all are satans. What a joke & you think we should trust you... for what ?

I agree with Walter D'Mello Comments, People should reject both Congress & JD(S) for thier double game. They never like developement of state, people, but they like people to remain as it is so that illiterate people will vote them.

Long live BJP as you have been made a victim for no fault of yours from the begining. Be it be Fertiliser Problem, Firing on Farmers, Serial Bomb blasts, attack on religious places etc., a clear conspiracy by opposition parties only to malign BJP.

All political parties are playing politics with religion as we saw the recent attacks on churches. Though initially Bajrang Dal claimed responsibility for the first attacks but it gave a fodder to the Congress & JD (S) parties to attack other churches in the name of BajrangDal. Their role clearly involved for the subsequent attacks which happened later on in Mangalore & Bangalore. So all political parties are playing with religion as their tool for votebank ecspecially the Congress, as they never worried about GOD throughout their past 60 years of History, but only worried about Votes.

But they only act as saviours of Christians as we saw the Congress & JD (S) leaders in Mangalore one by one. For sure people of Karnataka teach a lesson for both Congress & JD(S) for their double game only to harm BJP government. It's really a shame that all political parties are fighting with BJP, we can imagine how powerful BJP is..!

So finally, to defeat BJP congress or JDS has realised for an alliance. They have proved them selves that they do not have strength to challenge BJP on their own. Indirectly they accept themselves that they know their credential in the state. Either by hook or crook they just want the seat and then they talk about democracy or insult to constitution by BJP.

Congress leaders have made Deshpande President with an intention of joining hands with JD(S). (S) stands for secular, and not sons for those who dont know what it is.

Congress is facing revolt within the party due to the sidelining of Mr. Siddaramaiah, also they have to face the wrath of his supporting MLA's. Definitely Siddaramaiah will be a deciding factor for BJP in the coming elections, but Congress lost an golden oppurtunity by sidelining Siddaramaiah, he was a quite eligible leader for the KPCC post. But other party physical heavyweights never allow juniors to capture this post since they are worried about their sidelining in the party.

It's really shame to Congress to tie-up with JD(S), it's a party rejected in Karnataka. No one like this Father son party in Karnataka, they are here only to spoil the development & total image of our state, also they are illiterate " Like Father , Like Son's". So people should reject Congress as well as JD(S) in the coming elections. We need total development not partisan politics by the Congress.

If Congress joins with JD(S), it's going to be close chapter for Congress, coz no one can believe this  Father-son duo at any level. At the centre they joined their hands with third front, how they are going to tieup then. I think BJP learnt a lesson from this Father-Son duo, but Congress will not learn anything, also it's shame to such a big Congress party to join it's hands with all other parties only to face BJP. All are one , BJP one, it's going to be BJP time now. Even all the parties came together only to defeat our CM at Shimoga, but what happened???

That's it. If Siddaramaiah or Shivakumar were the Presidents - both are staunch opponents of Deve Gowda it would not have been possible to approach JD (Sons)!
