Udupi, Jul 2: Kundapura Souharda Credit Cooperative’s branch in Shirva was inaugurated on Sunday, July 1.
Fr Maxim D’souza, principal, Don Bosco School, Trasi, inaugurated the new branch. Expressing his best wishes towards the financial firm, he said, “Let this branch provide good service to the people of Shirva.”
Vedamoorthy Kuthyar Kenja Shridhar Tantri blessed the new branch. Vasanth Kamath inaugurated the safe locker facility, Manjunath S K inaugurated the computer systems and Wilfred Felix D’Souza inaugurated the cash section.
Fr Denis D’Sa and Praveen D Nayak released the deposit papers and loan papers respectively.
Addressing the gathering, Shivanand, CEO of Kundapura Souharda Credit Co-operative said, “We have four branches in Koteshwar, Saligrama, and Shirva and head office in Kundapur. The bank is providing very attractive deposit schemes to its customers. On the occasion of inauguration of Shirva branch, new revised deposit rates have been introduced. The interest rate on deposit starts from 6% to 9% depending on the tenure. Deposits for more than three years will be paid 12% interest. Under dynamic deposit scheme, members are allowed to withdraw their deposits any time, which will help entrepreneurs a lot,”
“The bank is getting good profits since its establishment. We have declared good amount of dividend to our customers. In the upcoming days, we are extending our business and new branches will be opened soon in other parts of Udupi district,” he said.
