Mississauga, Canada, Oct 2: Mangalorean Friendship Series is hosting a Seven-A-Side cricket tournament to be held at the Mavis and Courtney Park cricket ground on the 5th October 2008


AT THE MAVIS AND COURTNEY PARK CRICKET GROUND - PARTICIPATION IS FREE

  • 8 TEAMS (56 PLAYERS) ARE GUARANTEED
  • Additional teams are subject to time constraints.
  • REGISTRATION AT THE GROUND CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION
  • REGISTRATION AT THE GROUND : 8.30 TO 9.30 AM
  • MATCHES START AT 10.00 AM SHARP
  • WINNERS TROPHY

Rules and Regulations

1. Seven players per team including one woman player compulsorily
2. Lady player to bat at #6 or earlier.
3. The team is to be captained/led by a Mangalorean.
4. The matches to be conducted with taped tennis ball.
5. A batsman retires on an individual score of 30 runs maximum.
6. One day cricket rules will be followed.
7. No player is allowed to play for two teams
8. In case of a tie, wickets lost will be considered.
    If still tied, runs as at end of over 6 will be considered
9. Each bowler is allowed a maximum of 2 overs.
10. One over is a must by the woman player. Underarm is allowed.
11. Umpires decision will be final.
12. Substitute player allowed to field but not bat or bowl.
13. Whites are recommended. If not light colours acceptable.
14. Incase of a dispute, sponsors decision will be final and binding.
15. Wide ball will be penalized 2 runs with no extra ball.
16. No ball will be penalized 4 runs with no extra ball.
17. Due to time constraints first 56 registrants (inclusive of 8 women) at the ground will be guaranteed participation.
18. Ball and stumps will be provided. Please bring your own bats.
19. Bring your own tents, chairs, food, BBQ, music.
20. No pegs for tents or signs are allowed to be driven into the ground.
      Underground irrigation pipes and cables may be damaged.
      Tents to be held down by weight.

All players must sign a DISCLAIMER before taking the field.
Participants below 18 years require parental approval and supervision.
There is no charge to participate in this tournament which is all inclusive.

No alcohol is permitted at the ground.
Please carry your identification with you.
Sponsors/Organisers reserve the right to refuse participation without recourse.

    Hi, Wilson/Reynold I am glad that finally you managed to form a team and fulfil your dreams. Actually I agree with Avitus, it is not a bad idea to set up BBQ with Cynthy/Viyona. Keep it up.

    Congrats Wilson and your team, sply. Orlando(Nayaka). Any how, you manage to get your dream tourney - " 7 a side " at last in Canada. Re-collecting memories of Muscat, I wish you and your project a Great sucess. Why can't you put a BBQ corner(partnership/sponer),with Cynthia/Veena and co. ? Good-Luck, Keep it up.
