Puttur: Road mishap on new Shiradi ghat road stretch, no casualties

Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (DC)

Puttur, Jul 18: A road mishap has been reported two days after the newly laid Shiradi ghat road was thrown open for traffic here on Wednesday, July 18.

The incident occurred when a car which was heading towards Bengaluru from Puttur fell into a drain. However, the people travelling in the car escaped with minor injuries.

It is alleged that the incident occurred due to heavy vehicles moving in this route despite being restricted by the authorities. These over speeding heavy vehicles, especially buses coming from Bengaluru, cause road mishaps.

The incomplete road work is also said to be a reason for the road mishaps.

A comment without blaming a political party is incomplete. It's always dangerous to drive in roads built during the Congress rule.

An accident with no major injuries. We can really afford to have a laugh at their expense. On a serious note he wanted to check is the drain system was working properly.

For this accident do not blame heavy vehicles....It looks like drivers negligence. There is enough area to pass through.
