Very sad and may their soul rest in peace. Luckily we do not have any protest in front of the MESCOM office. When cattle is transported we have protests and murder. Cattle is given more importance than human beings in our country.

How is this not a regional outrage? MESCOM office should be gherao'ed and demanded compensation for the loss. I know loss of life is difficult to compensate but the New India that the PM boasts of is not possible with this kind of negligent mishap!

The new India is for a few selected Indians only.

Every time respected PM opens his mouth; rest of Indians are damned to stone ages.

    RIP deceased souls!!
Mescom is one of the worst power utility company, their work is beyond condemnation, chances of perishing by electrocution is very high in DK!
Class action suit worth crores should be filed by those effected, am sure they will win; it will teach a lesson to MESCOM!!

Very unfortunate incident. Even God too would not have wished their early demise. Only MESCOM does it deliberately due to their haphazard work and cheap work ethics. The entire organization has a bunch of lunatics, good for nothing morons, useless piece of s**t, and fit for obtaining tips (kick backs) by way of unsafe working procedures. They only work to fill their pockets and squeeze money from the gullible ones, exploit them to the fullest and seek a chance to earn a quickie, thereby leaving the common man in the lurch. The worst part is nobody protests this attitude and a mere lip service is easily forgotten.

It is the duty of MESCOM to check if any lines have fallen. If it is not possible to check physically, they should arrange some sensors based alarms.
They are also responsible to check the fitness of the poles prior to monsoon.
In fact there should be criminal proceedings on MESCOM officials for this criminal negligence!

Are you one of the lazy ones from MESCOM?
