Kundapur, Jul 23: "Sports activity increases the alertness of human being. It reduces mental pressure and rejuvenates body and mind. So everyone has to make some time and get involved in some kind of sports," says the standard statement with regards to sports. However, it is not easy to even think of a pressure-free living in today's tense life. That too for the police personnel, who have to be alert 24x7 in order to upkeep the health of the society, it is difficult to make time for physical activity.

In the midst of their busy schedule, Kundapur police participated along with their families in the sports meet organized for them on Sunday, July 22.

Police personnel are also human beings. They also have the right to release the tension of their mind. This was proved by the policemen at the sports meet for the rural police station personnel that was held at the grounds near Kandloor police station.

Speaking on the occasion, after inaugurating the sports meet, Radhakrishna Shetty, principal, Sharada College, said, "Friendly relations develop when we partake in the sports meet. It is possible to do conduct duties efficiently by developing health. It is appreciable that the personnel of the Kandloor police station are carrying out their duties in an efficient manner. The role of mother is also very important in the development of a child and to make it a cultured human being."

Dinesh Kumar, DySP, Kundapur wished the police personnel and also participated in the meet. Sridhar Naika, station officer, Kundapur rural police station, Phaniraj, assistant sub-inspector, and Jayakar Shetty, physical education teacher of Netaji School were present.

Madhusudhan welcomed the gathering, compered the event and rendered the vote of thanks. The police personnel took a day off and participated in various sports and games along with their families and shared their happiness.

Are you saying Americans are not smart because they are the one who introduced the wire transfer, debit/credit card, money loading cards, ATM, Online banking etc.?
They are smart enough to catch the FEKUS and put them into jail. If ATM was not there, you would be still standing on queue for hours to withdraw your Rs.100 from the bank. The only improvement done by the banks was introduce the token system later to avoid long queue. Your withdrawal cheque used to be approved by three employees and used to go through some forensic scrutiny before they hand over your money hours later. Banks were over-staffed and the clerks were sitting shoulder to shoulder and chatting above Movies. Thank God....there was no iPhone and WhatsApp then.
