Mangaluru: Police raid massage parlour over prostitution at Kottara Chowki, lady pimp arrested

Mangaluru, Jul 30: A massage parlour named ‘Lotus Salon and Wellness’ in Ramanugraha Building at Kottara Chowki was raided by the CCB police and a lady pimp was arrested here on Monday, July 30.

It is learnt that women and girls were kept at the massage parlour illegally and forced into prostitution.

Following credible information, CCB police and Kavoor police raided the parlour.

The police have seized two mobile phones and RS 14,700 cash.

It is learnt that in the name of massage staff, women were forced to work as prostitutes.

Five women have been rescued during the raid.

Rajesh, Sathish and Jayaraj who were running the centre are absconding.

The raid was carried out by CCB inspector Shantharam, Kavoor police inspector K R Naik, CCB PSI Shyam Sundar, H D Kabbal Raj and team.

    Why everything is prohibited in our Country when everything is done under the Sun. Better to legalise prostitution and less headache to the police department. Every district there should be separate area for prostitution, massage parlour, including bar and night club. At least rapes will come down.

    Can you advise, the laws books, where prostitution is legal in India. As far as I know, prostitution is illegal in India. Even Justice Santhosh Hegde too opined the same, make prostitution legal in India.

    What is wrong if two adults willingly engage in sex.

    Modiji, please pass a bill to legalize consensual sex. This is very important prior to converting Mangalore into another Singapore or Paris.

    I believe that they have not raided on the first day of the massage parlour. This is going on from long time. I think these girls were working from many days then if they knew that the owners are forceing to do prostitution, then whey they have not given complaint to police????. I think that the word Rescued should not use. Police must say that they have cought the prostitute.
