Puttur traffic police fine auto rickshaw driver for not wearing helmet!

Puttur, Jul 31: In a major goof-up, the Puttur traffic police fined an auto rickshaw driver for not wearing helmet on Monday, July 30.

According to reports, auto rickshaw driver Vittala was stopped by traffic cops from a Puttur station for ferrying more than three school children. But the auto driver was confused after the police fined him for not wearing helmet too.

The receipt issued by the cops has been going viral where Vittala was charged Rs 700 for overcrowding the auto with 9 children and also not wearing helmet.

With the receipt going viral, the traffic police said to have corrected the receipt to avoid further embarrassment.

However, seeing the receipt issued by the traffic cops, the Netizens have been discussing on the social media if the government has introduced any new rule of making helmets mandatory for auto rickshaw drivers too.
