Mangaluru, Jul 31: A couple attacked the owner of Zinda Biriyani Point at Karnad near here and beat him black and blue saying that the quality of kebabs which he supplied to them was not good. A complaint stands registered in this regard at Mulky police station.

The Imran couple, residents of Haleyangadi, ordered kebabs from the said hotel. After eating the kebabs, they told Mohammed Zameer, owner of the hotel that the quality of the kebab was not good and asked him to give them tikka. In reply to their complaint, Zameer said, "There is no need of saying that the quality of kebab is not good. I will give you tikka if you wish." Imran who got wild by this statement of Zameer, started arguing vehemently and this led to the physical thrashing of Zameer.

Imran's wife also joined in the melee and started to beat Zameer with sandals. The locals who saw this came running to the rescue of the hotel owner and prevented the couple from beating Zameer.

Mulky police who visited the spot asked the couple to report to the police station. Even while the couple was about to proceed to the police station, the lady, wife of Imran, threatened Zameer and said that she will get his hotel closed down.

It is learnt that the issue was closed as the couple tendered an apology at the police station for their behaviour.
