Bengaluru: District in-charge ministers' list out - Khader for DK, Jayamala for Udupi

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 1: After much dilly-dallying, delay and calculations, the coalition government in Karnataka finally came out with the list of new district in-charge ministers on Tuesday July 31. Both the parties believe that appointment of district in-charge ministers will help them in building the party to face Lok Sabha election. This list had come out long back, but now it has got official approval with minor changes.

U T Khader is the in-charge minister for Dakshina Kannada and Dr Jayamala has been in-charge for Udupi.

As expected, Hassan district has been allotted to H D Revanna. Although JD(S) ministers, D C Thammanna and Puttaraju were keen on becoming in-charge minister for Mandya, the seat was given to Puttaraju as Thammanna is a relative of top leadership of JD(S) and the party wanted to escape from getting defamed for giving the seat to a relative.

U T Khader and Dr Jayamala

Puttaranga Shetty is in-charge for Chamarajanagar, Zameer Ahmed Khan for Haveri and Koppal district has been given to Shankar, Gadag to N Mahesh, and Raichur to Venkata Rao Nadagouda.

D K Shivakumar has got Ramanagara and Ballari districts. The leaders feel that Shivakumar will be the best choice to fight the mining barons of Ballari during Lok Sabha election.

R V Deshpande has been given Uttara Kannada and Dharwad districts, Chikkamagaluru district has been allotted to K J George, while Belagavi district in-charge minister happens to be Ramesh Jarkiholi.

Bagalkote has been allotted to Shivananda Patil, Priyank Kharge is the district in-charge minister for Kalaburagi, while Rajashekhar B Patil is the in-charge minister for Yadagiri. Venkataramanappa has got Chitradurga district, Chikkaballapur has gone to N H Shivashankara Reddy, while Krishna Byre Gowda has been given both Bengaluru rural and Kolar districts.

S R Srinivas (Gubbi) has been made in-charge minister for Davanagere, Sa Ra Mahesh for Kodagu, Bandeppa Kashempur for Bidar, D C Thammanna for Shivamogga, MC Managuli for Vijayapura and G T Deve Gowda for Mysuru.

Again this congress people started development. We don't want any development that is why we voted BJP! We want Hindutva. Jayamalaji if you develop Udupi, then what BHATTRU can do. Golibajay?
