Mangaluru, Aug 1: SpiceJet flight from city to Dubai was rescheduled on Wednesday, August 1 after the pilot reported sick.
It is said that the pilot, who was supposed to fly the aircraft, was diagnosed with malaria,
The flight is operated by Corendon Airlines from whom SpiceJet has leased the aircraft.
The passengers were moved to a hotel in city.
The flight was to depart at 12.45 am. Then it was rescheduled to 7.30 am.
Second pilot also sick
But the pilot, who was to fly this rescheduled flight of 7.30 am, also reported sick. Hence the flight time was rescheduled to 5.00 pm. The pilot for this flight has to arrive from another city.
Both the pilots, who reported sick, were stationed in city. The nature of second pilot's sickness is not known.
SpiceJet has regretted the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
