Mangalore: Bollywood Actor Jackie Shroff Inaugurates Indus EM - 2008

Mangalore, Oct 11: Indo-US emergency medical summit, 'Indus EM-2008' was inaugurated in the city on Friday October 10.

Eminent bollywood actor Jackie Shroff inaugurated the summit and graced the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he compared the doctor to the God, as he saves lives, just like the Lord. Therefore, one should respect and rever them, he opined.


 

Medical profession is one of the most dignified professions. Therefore, the medical students should be thankful of their parents for sending them to this noble profession, he stressed .

In the meantime, he felt sad at not being able to continue his studies beyond Class XI, owing to the financial difficulties, faced by his family.

A J Shetty, chairman of A J Shetty Hospital and Research Centre, presided over the function. Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao was present.

    I oppose the view of Jackie Shroff he says I quote “he compared the doctor to the God, as he saves lives, just like the Lord” unquote. God is supernatural and powerful, having dominion over His creations heaven, earth, the universe, humans and all creatures of this planet earth. In fact, words are not sufficient to explain His majesty. There is no one like Him, un-comparable.

    Nice pictures,always we have to support to improve education.Let Mangalore and India be all over the world for good cause and reasons. But, why Jackie was invited as chief guest (I don't have any problem with him, he is a good actor)any special reason, bcoz this was Indo-US emergency medical summit, just curious to know about it.
