Mangalore, Oct 12: The wedding of Dr Abida, daughter of well known politician and entrepreneur U K Monu with Dr Hashim Aziz, was held on Sunday October 12, and was witnessed  by eminent politicians and dignitaries of the state.

The wedding was held at Kanachur school grounds, Deralakatte. , U K Monu  also organized the mass wedding of ten couples belonging to the economically backward communities, on the same occasion.

It was a rare but momentous occasion from any community leader, that on the same day of his own daughter's wedding,  he organised  a mass wedding of  ten other couples who are financially weak.



















Former chief minister D K Kumaraswamy, Rehman Khan, former union minister Janardhan Poojary, KPCC chairman R V Deshpande, former ministers Motamma, Subbaiah Shetty and B L Shankar, MLAs N A Harris and U T Khader, District Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao, Nitte Education Trust chairman N Vinay Hegde, Mangalore University vice-chancellor Prof K M Kaverappa attended the wedding and graced the occasion along with a large number of invitees.

    when entire world is feeling the pinch of financial crisis, and cash crisis, US and other great countries are facing the wrath of nature fury against what they have done in the last 10 years, Kanachur Monu is real example for those who wants to show off, for all those people who take loans(never pays) for their marriage. Money will not buy every thing - some times great steps you take are example and should be remember in the life time - and middle class people should take lesson from this.
