Mangaluru, Aug 15: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shashikanth Senthil, in a communication dated August 15, has informed that Shiradi Ghat is completely closed for vehicular traffic till further orders.
Due to heavy rains in the region, the ghat has witnessed many landslides which have prompted the district administration to close the road which connects the city with state capital.
Charmadi Ghat road remains open for vehicles.
100 mm of rain is forecasted for today, said the DC.
He has asked the fishermen not to venture into sea.
