Moodbidri, Aug 18: A man, who went missing from a cloth showroom in Moodbidri, was found dead near Maravoor here on Friday August 17.
Sudarshan Jain (28) is the deceased. It is suspected that he might have been murdered by his own younger brother.
Sudarshan had left his shop on August 11 along with his brother Sudhir Jain in his bike after finishing work. It is learnt that when they reached near his house in Hosabettu, Sudhir's friend Sandeep and two others were waiting in a car.
It is now suspected that they might have abducted Sudarshan, murdered and dumped the body at Phalguni River.
The body was found with injury marks on neck and chest on Friday by his mother.
Sudarshan's mother had sold 2.7 acres of land recently for Rs 27 lacs and had received Rs 6 lacs in advance. Sudhir had received Rs 3 lacs and he used to harass his brother Sudarshan who was running the electronics shop in Siddakatte. Despite Sudarshan running the shop under loss, Sudhir harassed him to give remaining Rs 3 lacs that he received after property sale.
