Soon after the Namaz, people were seen exchanging the festival greetings, ‘Eid Mubarak’, by embracing one another and shaking hands.

Muslim brethren visit each other's homes during the day, to exchange pleasantries and to show their mutual affection and to share happiness.

The festival is a commemoration of Prophet Abraham's unflinching faith and devotion to Allah's commandments. Muslims are expected to show the same spirit when they celebrate Bakrid.
