Mangaluru, Aug 26: Mangalore Catholic Cooperative (MCC) Bank Ltd held its director’s board elections, here on Sunday, August 26.
The results were announced late night. Team Anil Lobo won all the 13 seats. Anil Lobo secured 3,793 votes, whereas Alwyn Patrao secured 3,018 votes.
The voters' turn out was 25.85%. The total number of registered voters are 25,938 out of which 6,706 voted.

Speaking to Daijiworld, an elated Anil Lobo said, “Thanks to all members who voted me and my panel to victory. Today onwards, we shall work for development of the bank and its smooth running. Definitely, we have created history winning all the seats. It shows people's faith in us. I will try to give my best in my term and with the new elected members, we will try to take the bank to new heights,"
“I would also like to thank all who worked for my victory, campaign and election related works. I am looking forward for the same support in future also,” he added.
Team Alwyn Patrao, which included Alwyn Patrick Patrao (3018), Elroy Patrick Saldanha (2529), Jackson Eric D’Costa (2505), Jerald Lancy D’Cunha (2496), Dr John Clarence Miranda (2688), Joseph Michael Pereira (2368), Dr Nerry Cornelio (2580), Peter Anthony Pinto (2482), Manoj Clavier Dias (2370), Maurice Monteiro (2285), Santhosh D’Souza (2225), Constance Carmelita Saldanha (2396), Dr Lavina D’Mello (2449), was unable to win even a single seat.
The election of MCC Bank is held once in five years.
Francis Cutinho and Alwyn Patrao were chairman and vice-chairman respectively in the current term.
