Koppal, Aug 26: A woman in Kushtagi here in Koppal district attempted to beat up a Congress candidate blaming him for his failure to provide basic facilities for her village here on Sunday, August 26.
When Congress candidate Dyamanna Dollin went to 20th ward in Kushtagi on Sunday for campaigning, a woman from the village attempted to beat him up with slippers. She alleged that the leader had failed to provide any basic facilities.
However, some of the women Congress activists stopped her from attacking the leader.
Meanwhile, Dollin alleged that BJP candidate Kallesh Talad had conspired to attack him. "I had sought police protection during campaigning. Since police officers failed to provide any protection, the incident has happened," he said.
Kallesh Talad refuted the allegations and called them baseless.
