Bengaluru, Aug 28: In a relief, BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa has been acquitted in Rachenahalli denotification and 14 other cases by a court here on Tuesday, August 28.
Earlier, the Supreme Court and the high court had acquitted him of all charges in Rachenahalli denotification case.
A city-based advocate Sirajin Basha and Balakrishna had filed a private complaint against Yeddyurappa. Now the court has given clean chit to BSY stating that the complainants had not obtained permission from the competent authority before registering the complaint.
Social activist S R Hiremath had approached the Supreme Court demanding CBI probe in Rachenahalli denotiification case. However, the court acquitted BSY of all charges.
