M'luru: St Milagres Credit Souharda Co-operative visits physically challenged children

Mangaluru, Aug 29: St Milagres Credit Souharda Co-operative Ltd celebrated Independence Day by visiting various physically challenged children's schools and orphanages.

Manger and staff of the branch here, visited Chethana Rehabilitation Centre for physically challenged children. They distributed blankets and sweets to the children.

Bishop of Mangaluru, Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza who was present on the occasion said, “It is good to see that St Milagres Credit Souharda Co- operative is contributing a part of its profit to society. Let this work be a model for others also.”



Ivan Fernandes (former vice president of Milagres Church and proprietor of Aaron Catering), Ln Sadananda Upadya(Raga Tharanga president), Ln Sunil Hegde (president Mangalore Metrogold), Prakash Bhandary(DM of MCSC) and Mamta Rebello (manager of MCSC Mangaluru branch ), staff of the branch were present during the function.

The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated with much affection and warmth by the staff of St Milagres Credit Souharda Co-operative Ltd. “We have been doing this as a social service since the last 15 years. We under the guidance of our director Geroge Fernandes will continue to do this in the coming years also. I am happy to see a co-operative society doing these things and let them receive showers of blessings in futere also. Trustee and director of the school, Nagaraj Bhat was present at this vocation.
