Mangaluru, Aug 29: Anil Lobo Fermai took charge as the chairman Mangalore Catholic Cooperative (MCC) Bank Limited here on Wednesday, August 29.
Addressing the media persons, newly elected MCC chairman Anil Lobo said, "MCC Bank has vast history and has 16 branches across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts . Members of bank have elected me and my team for the next five years. Bank members have appointed me as chairman of this bank. It is our responsibility to fulfil all the promises made in the election manifesto to take this bank forward,”
“We will also donate a sum of Rs 25,000 to chief minister’s relief fund through deputy commissioner for flood-hit Kodagu district,” he added.
"We have the most experienced team who served in various sectors and this experience will play vital role for the development of our bank. In the next five years, inception of regional office at Udupi and expansion of our branches which will create employment for youths are the top priorities. Up gradation of banking service with modern technologies, setting up ATMs, soft-skill training for staff and revising the salaries and facilities, opening of zero balance account especially for students at high interest and also setting up CSR programs in coming days are our top priorities too.” he informed.
Newly appointed MCC vice-chairman Gerald Jude D’Silva, general manager Sunil Menezes and former chairman Francis Cutinho were present.
MCC Bank Limited held its director’s board elections on August 26. Team Anil Lobo had won all the 13 seats. Anil Lobo secured 3,793 votes, while Alwyn Patrao had secured 3,018 votes.
