Mangaluru: MP Nalin calls on newly appointed bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha

Mangaluru, Aug 29: Member of Parliament (MP) Nalin Kumar Kateel on Wednesday, August 29, met the newly appointed bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha at Jeppu Seminary and extended his best wishes to him.

MP Nalin felicitated the newly appointed bishop with a bouquet of flowers and wished him all success in his term. He also wished success to the consecration programme which will be held on September 15. The MP further assured all types of help for the programme and his support in future. Dr Peter Paul Saldanha thanked the MP for his felicitation and asked him for his continued support to the diocese.

Fr Joseph Martis, rector, Jeppu Seminary, Fr Maxim Rosario, professor, Jeppu Seminary, and advocate M P Noronha, secretary, diocesan parish council were present.

    Oh my friends have a breathing space before concluding and showering with praises. Nalins gesture needs to applaud and we all should (all the communities) need to maintain brotherhood and peace among all. No one wishes to have communal or religious discrimination. Hate and anger will not bring any progress or good in the society. Let us pray to maintain peace and harmony.
    United we stand and divided we fall.

    Very well said Mr. Flavian, we need more sane voices like yours. Rather than making irresponsible & immature statements which only vitiates the atmosphere besides bringing in unpleasantness & hatredness. One's preference of a party or a leader is purely personal choice. But repeated utterances against any ideology or a religion or a leader or a belief brings in totaI disharmony. I applaud you for words of sanity.

    If you keep political aside Hindus are the best people we ever find on this globe. My childhood till date my best friends are and will be hindus. I respect them a lot because they are very kind hearted and never mind to join hands in saying the prayers with us or celebrate feast with us without any religious restrictions. God continue to bless Nalin for his good work and keep him to be good leader to serve the nation's. Best part of them is any farba in porbuLena house means realy a fun time for celebration.
