Bagalkote, Aug 30: “Union minister Anant Kumar Hegde is mentally upset and he is not a human being,” said former chief minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah here in Bagalkote on Wednesday, August 29.
Speaking to party members during campaigning for local body polls, Siddaramaiah said, "Anant Kumar Hegde is like cancer. Ananth Kumar is cultureless. Prime Minister Modi should be ashamed to keep inhuman Hegde in his cabinet."

“Basanagouda Patil Yatnal and Anant Kumar Hegde say that they do not want people wearing burqa, cap and flaunting beard seek help from them. Do they have humanity? Should the voters elect them?, " he asked.
Challenging BJP MLA Sriramulu, who had said that Siddaramaiah had done no work, the latter said that if so, the BJP MLA must prove it. “The false propaganda carried out by the BJP is the sole reason for our defeat. They call me anti-Hindu. Am I anti-Hindu? Gandhi wanted Hindus and Muslims to be united. But the BJP does drama by saying 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'. But in reality it is 'Sab Ka Sathyanas'," he said.
He also took a dig at PM Modi for his 'Mann Ki Baat' and asked him to concentrate on 'Kaam Ki Baat'.
Siddaramaiah, whose statement about his aspiration to become CM had given rise to speculations and political upheavals in the state, clarified that his statement was just circumstantial. "I never said that I want to become CM in this term. The current government headed by Kumaraswamy will last its full term. My plan was aimed at the next term," said.
He also asserted that the state government is sound and stable and that BJP leaders are day-dreaming.
