Mangaluru, Aug 30: Member of legislative council and leader of the opposition in the council, Kota Srinivas Poojary Kota Srinivas Poojary on Thursday, August 30, said that the coalition government in the state had created 100 problems during its 100 days of administration.
Addressing media here, he said, “The coalition government is highlighting its 100 days at office through advertisements. In reality, they have created 100 problems in 100 days. They have not provided secured government led by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy. We can notice the rift between leaders in both the parties.
“Instead of solving problems of people, the government is busy settling its own internal disputes. They have not done a single work which is praiseworthy. Other than the loan waiver, they have not waived loan of fisher folk and loans from nationalised banks.
“Just to stop BJP from coming to power and B S Yeddyurappa from becoming the chief minister, Congress have surrendered themselves to JD(S) to run the administration. When you have not done anything in 100 days, why you are continuing the administration?
"After continuous rain in Kodagu district, several people went homeless and missing. But the leaders were visiting the flood-hit areas as if it was a tourist place. There has been no alternative solution for the victims. Some leaders said that houses were being constructed for people, but so far none of them have been constructed,” he said.
He also demanded the chief minister and district in-charge minister to announce a special package for the people of Ananthodu and other villages of Sullia which were completely damaged during the recent rains.
MLA South Vedavyas Kamath, district general secretary Brijesh Chowta, Sanjay Prabhu and others were present.
