Bengaluru, Sep 2: Chief Minister (CM) H D Kumaraswamy heard a number of issues that are faced by the public in the 'Janata Darshan' that was held on Saturday, September 1. More than 1,000 petitions were received during the programme. Every petition had a sad story behind it. The way the public appraised their grievances to the CM showed the pathetic and non-responsive system of administration of the state.
More than 1,056 appeals pertaining to different departments were received during the programme. Out of this more than 214 appeals were related to the deputy commissioners (DC) of various districts. The appeals that could have sorted out at the district level had come to the level of CM.
Most of the appeals were about the medical expenses, employment, site, loan for self-employment and harassment from private money lenders. The CM called the officials of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes development corporation during the programme and took them to task.
