Raichur, Sep 2: National president of BJP, Amit Shah opined that the Maths and temples have not just restricted to religious centres, but are also functioning as service centres, thereby shouldering the social responsibility.
Shah was speaking after inaugurating the modernized Sri Sujayindra Arogya Shale, which was modernized by Sri Raghavendra Swamy Math of Mantralaya. Continuing his address, Shah said, "This hospital will be a boon to lacs of devotees, who visit the Math as well as the villagers who are in and around the vicinity of the Math. This will be like a blessing of the 'Raya' for the devotees who throng Mantralaya. I whole-heartedly thank the Seer of the Math for such a noble deed."
"In our culture and legacy, Maths and Mandirs, in addition to being religious centres, shoulder the social responsibility too. Maths and Mandirs stand tall in giving service when there is a natural calamity or accidental disasters. I consider it is my good fortune to inaugurate this hospital under the leadership of Sri Subudhendra Theertha, Seer of Sriraya Math," Shah added.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Subudhendra Theertha, Seer of Sri Math said, "The hospital is modernized with the latest equipment. Free medical treatment has started with the great vision of providing free medical service to all the devotees who visit the Math and also to the local villagers who reside in and around the Math."
