Mangaluru: SIT holds inaugural function of ASMA - Mechanical Students’ Association

Mangaluru, Sep 6: The inaugural function of ASMA 2018-19, the students’ association of Mechanical Engineering department, Srinivas Institute Technology, Valachil, was held on Thursday, September 6. Soumya Chandraker, DGM (HR)-recruitment IR & SDC, HR department, MRPL, Mangaluru was the chief guest of the function.

Soumya Chandraker honoured the merit students of academic year 2017-18 by presenting mementos and certificates, and motivated the students. She spoke on the career opportunities and personality development for the Mechanical engineers.



Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college and president of the function congratulated the members of the association and said more activities should be conducted under the association for the development of the students, thereby enhancing their technical and managerial skills.

Dr Thomas Pinto and Dr Shankar K S, heads of the department of Mechanical engineering spoke on the occasion. Faculty advisor Prof Lokesh V briefed about the activities of ASMA. Faculty advisor Prof Nithin Joshuva introduced the members of ASMA.

The programme was welcomed by Preethesh Sylvan Carlo, president of ASMA while Viresh K P, secretary of ASMA delivered the vote of thanks.
