Kasargod: Youth tied to tree and beaten up for entering lover's room

Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (MS)

Kasargod, Sep 7: A youth, who entered the room of his lover, was caught red-handed by the inmates of his girl friend's house and locals. He was tied to a coconut tree after that and taken to task.

The said youth, who is employed in the gulf now, was in love with the said girl of the house since she was studying in the high school. However, the family members of the girl were opposed to this relationship. But their love continued in the midst of the objection by the parents of the girl.

The youth had returned three months ago from the gulf on vacation and was supposed to fly back in another three days. At 2 am on Thursday, September 6, he arrived at the house of his lover along with one of his male friends. He parked the bike on the road near the house and made his friend to wait there and climbed the terrace of his lover's house and entered her room.

The male friend of the youth, who was asked to stand on the road, was riding the bike around the area. He was noticed by some locals. Upon inquiry, the locals came to know that his friend has gone inside the house of his lover. Immediately the locals alerted the inmates of the house of the lover of the youth.

The youth was caught red-handed subsequently. Later, he was tied to a coconut tree and beaten up. Later he was released and let go. His friend, who was roaming on the bike, was also assaulted by some people.

The youth, who was injured in the assault, has been admitted to the hospital.

Kasargod police have registered a case in this regard.

The accused one might be in love with the girl and still loves her. That doesnt give any reasons to enter her room at midnight through window. ,coming with friend and make him wait.If he is upright person, could he met her elsewhere in city during the day to express !his love.or talk.Afterall he isor they are not yet married ,so parents naturally watch their daughter.and good so.what if he doesnt come back or marry someone else ,and daughter waiting here,or even pregnent ?Naturally family worries. They shouldnt have hurt him so much, instead handover to police for coming insie house without allowence.Girl allowed him or invited him I feel. She seems to be not minor but elder.she was in high school as fell in love.

C A Abdulla; Since the girl is only a high school student I presume she is legally a minor girl. A minor does not have legal rights to invite a n adult male to her house in the middle of the night. This man should be charged for break and entering a residence for the purpose of robbery and sexual. assault.

Am I missing something here? The news says “was in love with the said girl of the house since she was studying in the high school. ”. They are in love since high high school days doesnt mean she is in high school now. If she is a minor I agree he shouldnt have entered her house without parent’s consent.

Usually, when family and relatives do not accept a love affair, the couple usually meet elsewhere but this man went directly to the house of his girlfriend which is well protected by her family and locals. This youth must be very brave or really foolish to go into the lion's den like that!

If religion doesn't matter, then why was Ankit Saxena killed in New Delhi, don't give any crap.
When this happens to your own, say the same, do not justify someone entering another person's home in the midnight.
He should be charged with several trespassing and invading cases for committing offense

Dear Prashant, please wake up from your era of 50 years ago. My daughter and sons have boy friend and girl friends. They come and go any time of the day or night. All are majors. I grew up in a very highly educated family with world famous surgeon, military officer, lawyers and engineers. My grandfather was a very very famous lawyer in Kasaragod. My mother is a famous kannada writer. We were far ahead of times in thinking when I grew up.

    CA Abdulla,

I agree with what you said. I have also been parroting similar comment over here since long time. The problem is that when people are uncivilized by nature, you cannot change their mind.

You might have heard similar incidents around our place were couples are beaten up and their assaulters go free thanks to our stupid cops. They even take the couple (who are major) give them a warning and call their parents to take them away. This a stupid area that we live in. Here the people dont even have manners to mind their own business. They try to dig up what someone is doing, whom they are having a relationship with.
